Let's have a thread about nobody's favorite studio. What are you playing? What did you play? Why can't Sakuraba into YM2612?

Also, I'm determined to get more people to listen to this- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwzAGhJK2-w

Played Earnest Evans(ugh...), El Viento, Granada, and Tales of Destiny back in the day. Enjoyed all of them, and play the last 3 regularly now and again for crits.

Surprising how many games they've developed, looking at the list on wiki...

It's just a shame the bass is so quiet in that version. MD version gave the bass some volume, but the instruments took a hell of a beating...

Granada and Arcus Odyssey are my favourites from Wolfteam. Gotta love that SUPER ARMED TANK and the chick with a goddamn chain flail in a game where shooting is easier.

Most of the Internet doesn't know this developer though, and love/adore ≠ worship. I've seen plenty of criticism for their games, El Viento even.

it's a bad port, sprites are too huge, it's missing half the bullets on screen and there's slowdown everywhere
there's also a first person rpg on sega cd I think, it's called arcus 1-2-3

This is so good. Fuck Gauntlet, AO all day erry day. Anyone know if the Sharp X68000 version can be reasonably emulated and played? I tried a while back but keys didn't work half the time and the emulator kept speeding up and slowing down at random.

>> No.2396972

El Viento has such an awkward charm to it. I really miss the days where such a strange quality C-tier game like that could be so damn memorable and uniquely fun.

Jewel Master is another game like that. The Valis series too... I suppose.
