So I recently got a Sega Genesis, and the 6-pak, but I don't really know too many good games for it, do you guys have any recommendations?

here's some good games not listed yet:

Atomic Runner is pretty fun, auto-scrolling run-and-gun.
Granada is ace as fuck, top-down tank shooting action (it's got some heavy slowdown though).
Shadow Dancer is a good Shinobi title, a lot more like the original arcade Shinobi than Revenge or 3. One of my favorite stages.
Kawasaki Superbike Challenge is a neat polygonal racer. Rather decent framerate. Enable turbo mode in the settings (draws things smaller to improve framerate, screen size still the same). Lots of tracks. Might take a little bit to get used to the handling. Not a must have, but definitely very good.
Ristar is an excellent platformer by Sonic Team. Absolutely gorgeous, wonderful level design, fantastic music.
Ranger-X is a fantastic side-scrolling mech shooter. Brilliant visuals, cool soundtrack. A real must-have.
Comix Zone is a great side-scrolling beat-em-up. Bit puzzle oriented, a bit difficult. Nice graphics. Cool music.

You already have SoR1 on the 6-pak. It's a lot of fun.

Streets of Rage 2 is a top-tier game with really fun gameplay and arguably the best music on the system.

Streets of Rage 3 is decent but got pretty mangled during localization.

I love Altered Beast but I admit it's not exactly one of the first games I'd recommend, similar to Two Crude Dudes and Captain America and the Avengers. They had memorable soundtracks and I grew up with them but I wouldn't mention them until after experiencing the aforementioned titles.

I found a copy of that the other day in perfect condition for like $5. Still had that big ass poster of that sweet cover art and everything. It's a pretty fun game, but damn if I don't wish I had someone around here to actually co-op it with.

Altered Beast is a pretty good intro title for the system I'd say. It's a fun, incredibly simple time waster, and with how cheap it is there's really no reason to skip it unless you're absolutely strapped for cash.
