Have a game that you can't remember the name of, or trying to find a game that you used to play but can't find anymore? Try and make a detailed as possible description and see if anyone else remembers. Make sure to follow up if you find it!

A reverse image search says it's Speedy Eggbert.

>> No.2372996

I'll start, There was this old PS1 game that I played once that I can't remember anything about except for the soundtrack being kind of spooky (but it wasn't a horror game) and the cover was a photo of a forest or something. That's a really general description and I doubt anyone could help me with something as open ended as that, but I remember the soundtrack being really neat and I wouldn't mind finding it again.

>> No.2373271

Platform: MS-DOS
Genre: Action/Shooter
Description: Top down camera angle. You controlled a female protagonist on some sort of space ship with lots of lifeforms that may have been aliens or hi-tech soldiers. Movement was 8 direction, fairly sure.

I specifically remember the game being sorted into chapters as different missions, and chapter 9 was called "Nemesis". The protagonist got brainwashed by the enemy into working for them for that chapter.
This has been something I've looked for since 1998. I will likely never find it.

I've been trying to track down this game for some time now. It's a ps1 game. The cover was of a girl and a monster, the backgrounf set in space. My father played it once and I don't remember much since I was 5. This particular level had a huge monster on top of a buliding, like he just ripped off the ceiling. Then, in another room near that there was this spider like thing that would jump to your face and kill her. That's all I remember.

A money counting game.
There was a couple of main characters (but the only one I remember was this fat purple fuck with orange hair).

It had you counting USD.

i've got one
it's an old pc game, older than xp (i think) but no older than win95
you play as some kid in a cemetary, the view is isometric i think, and there's ghosts floating around
there's a white menu at the top and a massive options menu that takes up the whole screen and a woman's voice narrated everything you clicked on i think
and if you clicked on a ghost it said "boo!" in a spooky voice
there may have been multiple screens but i never got past the first one

Hi, I'm going crazy with this and need some help. I've spent the last 6 hours trying to find out the name of the PC dungeon crawler game that i played as a kid during the late 90's. I remember me being scared shitless playing it. You start out as one guy in this dungeon (duh?) or prison cellar and you're trying to escape whilst being chased by enemies that I think was bipedal. On the cover of the game there was an image of the villain, some evil doctor/wizard guy with exaggerated face proportions, I think his name was Dr Evil or something stupid like that. The game hadn't a serious tone like Ultima Underworld/Might and Magic but was rather more to the Maniac Mansion-side. The game is from the 90's and is a first-person crawler with 2D sprites. It's so sad that I can't remember more than this because I really want to play it again.

Im looking for a game for windows 98, here is the description:

- it was a motorcycle game
- motorcycle had a gun on it, but sometimes it didn't
- 3d shapes like blocks and prisms from elementary school made up the structures and buildings on the map, they were colored red and blue most of the time
- eliminate a.i motorcycles, turrets would also fire at you from popping up from the terrain, but you could see the location of them, they were also blocky objects, as was everything
- the terrain was black

A N64 or possibly an extremely early PS1 game though doubtful though it could been a Dreamcast game as I recall it using disks though I could just be remembering it wrong.

It was a stereotypical turn based RPG but one of the very early character you can have in your party was a baby dragon. I am pretty sure the game use sprites but I could be remembering that wrong too. To my knowledge all of the Breath of Fire games always had the main character be the dragon and even then he spent most of his time in a human form. So I highly doubt it was a game from that series but I could possibly be wrong as I gotta admit I never could get into the series.

An arcade game I played around the mid 90's. It was a beat-em-up like Final Fight except with an Arabian theme. It took place at night and it was pretty damn dark.

Isometric RPG from the early (maybe mid?) 90s. had an anti-piracy measure that required a password that consisted of character portraits in a certain order printed on the pages of the manual. This is going to sound weird, but I could swear it used the same engine as xcom.

This is a particular one.

This was a really old, most likely freeware or shareware game where you played as a cowboy from a top down perspective and the goal of the game was saving your girlfriend/wife/love interest from a evil cowboy.

The graphics were really shitty, about as shitty as you see in this image I made up. You could get to the last level by entering in the villains name, something like 'Cleetus'.

The other two I could never remember were found after years of looking, so maybe this'll be the thread someone knows the final one.

It was a shareware/freeware game I got from download.com in the late 90s. It was an rpg/perhaps roguelike (can't remember if there was permadeath or if I just didn't know how to save) where you started off in your own house, and every location you entered would say something like 'You are in _____. Your reputation here is _____.' There was body part specific damage, I remember it showing your character's head and I believe he was a bald guy with just lines for eyes.

A common suggestion is IVAN, but I'm very familiar with it and that's not it. I believe it was top down or maybe isometric, but I can't quite remember. Thanks for the help, here's a nostalgic image of Ends of the Earth 2.

A weird one with a small backstory.

The year is 1992.

Mortal Kombat 1 had just come out in the Arcades and the world was shitting its pants.
There I am.. a small boy watching the 6 o clock news in my small country in Europe.

>HORROR! VIDEOGAMES BECOMING MORE VIOLENT THEN EVER BEFORE!

The news lady looks at the camera with the face of a soldier who has just discovered a mass grave of a million holocaust victims.

>Videogame violence.. has it gone too far?

She shows clips of Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, explaining how faster computers allow for more detailed violence, now rivaling real life.

But since MK was the only violent game out there they have to dig deep, and out come a handful of Commodore 64 games.

One of them she says, is about a rapist prowling the park at night looking for women to rape.

And when he finds one she says, he rapes the woman while her children look on in fright!

(seriously this is what she said)

Now.. I am a big C64 connoisseur and I have never ever read anything about such a game in the 18 years that I have been online.

Was she making shit up? did they just look at the title of Nightmare Park and some stoned druggy swore he saw rape in there?

I need to know wtf they were talking about.

And no I'm not looking for a rape game, I just want to know if they were blatantly lying to us on the news.

It looked like a fantasy platformer or maybe brawler with 8 bit style graphics from my memory but it might have been better. What I remember is you went through a castle or a dungeon gathering loot. Pretty sure I played this game on an old Mac comp during the 90's, where you play as a stick that attaches to dots. You rotate around the dot, you can change the direction of your rotation, and there were green acid goops that could kill you if you didn't think out your moves beforehand.

PC, Early-Mid 90s

You were a caveman, could interact/recruit? from your tribe, and you needed to find food and water, pretty sure you had a waterskin for that to collect from pools or rain (it always rained it seemed). There was also this flint carving minigame, where you'd have to chip away to make arrow heads and such. Gameplay was a bit like Daggerfall, except the screen was much smaller i think your inventory was always open. when you'd interact with something/someone it would switch to a 2d sidescroller screen. Default character name i think was something starting with T, like Torgon or something.

Been looking for two games for years, I'll start off with the first cause I found this thread as I was putting off leaving the house.

Educational PC game, undoubtedly sold through a school book magazine like Scholastic or something. Got it around the same time as that PC first person point and click Titanic game, maybe that could help date this.

Game put you into a scientist laboratory, I wont pretend to remember story/explanation, something along the lines of you had to help the scientists.

There were a ton of mini games around the lab, one was an "Incredible Machine" knockoff where you had to place conveyor belts and other pieces into a grid like area to... I believe get a mouse to cheese? Could be wrong, again I haven't seen this thing for a decade at least.

Another mini game had you designing a car/truck, a plane and I want to say a train or something else, just by selecting different combinations of parts, i.e. this body with these wheels and this engine or something along these lines.

Literally hurting my brain to remember any of the other mini games. I want to say there was one in regards to space, like building a rocket or something about rockets. Had to be like 10-15 games to play all together.

Art style was a very realistic (it tried at least to be) pre-rendered graphics, all the sprites of objects and the backgrounds pre-rendered, for example the vehicles I remember being very detailed, the metal looked worn, like something you would have saw in a FF7 backdrop.

The scientist him self who popped up like that fuckin paper clip from MSWord to give you tips and tell you to go play a certain game or something looked like an exaggerated bootleg Einstein, had glasses, a big nose and wild, white hair.

I'm going to get to my girls house and try to remember more details and come back to this post later. Thankfully /vr/ is still a pretty slow board from what I can remember.

OH, before I forget to throw this out there, no it is not JumpStart Grade 3, I've be

>scifi platformer
Amiga/dos. There was this guy trying to avoid robots. If I remember correctly his jumps were frontflips? The goal was to go to these devices and press up and then would appear this progressbar kind of thing. You had to get this progressbar loaded while avoiding robots.

>ghostbusters

Hey guys, coming straight from /v/.

Hey /v/, can we have a thread where we help eachother find old games?

I'm looking for a game from possibly the same era as pic related. What I remember is when you launched the game it was a top-viewer until you entered the sewers (almost like ninja turtles for the NES). There was an entrance quite close to where you started the game to the sewers or "underground".

Once in the sewers it turned into a dungeon crawler (much like wolfenstein or DOOM except you couldn't move as freely, it was left, right, back and forward etc.) You could encounter enemies which I think consisted of rats and spiders and I think one of the weapons were a lead pipe or something.

Help a /v/iking out. If there's any more information you guys need to get closer just let me know.

I think my buddy also told me once you can also swim in this game, but I'm really unsure about this particular memory, he might've been talking about some other game. >Sierra's Dr Brain
Holy shit this is a breakthrough on one I've been searching for for years. It's not the game, but it's one step closer.
The game I'm looking for took place in a city, and a animal of some kind got turned to stone. The objective was to turn him back. Point and click, I think. I also think it was part of a series, but not one I'd played before, just because I remember the characters were already established and it was assumed you know who they are. The breakthrough was that they were on the same disc, although I don't remember how. Either they were both demos or one of them was and the other was the main product of the disc. I just looked through Sierra's catalouge and I didn't see it, I might have missed it though.

I've been looking for a game for years, to no avail.

It was an early PC game, a first person view "future military"-esque game with a wire frame kind of graphics. You could deploy and operate various vehicles and command stations, unfortunately that's all I can remember.

When I was a kid at school we used to play some sort of educational game in our computer lab. It was either for DOS or Windows, I can't remember specifically.

You had to solve a bunch of questions (I can't remember what subject, math maybe...?) and after getting enough questions right you got to play a game that was very pac-man esque. You control a little guy in a maze which is completely dark besides the walls, going around and collecting coins. Meanwhile, there's a ghost, Blackbeard's ghost I think. He's the only ghost but he can go through walls and stuff.

After a certain amount of time, bonus coins would appear and you could try and grab as many as you could before they disappeared.

When you collected all the main coins an opening would be revealed in a part (the bottom?) of the maze. If you managed to reach the exit, a skull would flash on the screen for like a second, and then change to a screen with the text along the lines of "Blackbeard's ghost returned to his grave" or something like that.

And of course after that, you had to solve more questions to play the Blackbeard's ghost maze game.

I've been trying to figure out what this game is for ages, and I'd love to be able to try it out again.

There was this game made in The Games Factory that I used to play.

First of all, you need to understand that this was a really weird game.

The main character was a recolor of Goemon from Ganbare Goemon: brown hair, grey clothes.

It was a platformer with some top-down segments in the main character's town, which for some reason Colonel Sanders lived in.

The first level, or one of the early ones, was about going to the store to get milk (I did say it was weird).

A later level took place in a snowy area, with the penguins from Mega Man 1 as one of the enemies. I think the music for this stage was from Final Fantasy 7?

Another level started with heading to a volcano, then traveling through it, then running back to the start after the volcano erupted.

This is pretty much all I can remember.

I wanted to get several snes games that I played in my childhood on snes and I can't remember these:

1. a sort of side-scrooling fighting game, the intro was with several people dressed in blue shirts/pants coming out of a train, they talk to each other, and then your character goes in a hotel room to rest, then he goes outside, and he constantly fights gangs. The fights appear randomly as you walk. You can use the elevator to go out of your hotel, and you can go in a parking lot, sewers, metro, and a sort of underground mall.

2. Flying with a sort of F13 (I think?) american jet plane, and bombing the living fucking shit out of IRAQ. Bird eye view I think

There is this game my friend has been trying to remember for years; it came with Pharaoh (or maybe Cleopatra) as a demo.

It was isometric fantasy; you choose your race and have a party, and was turn based.

It might have just been the demo, but you had a set number of turns.

One of the playable guys started in a forest, and a different guy started under ground.

This shit has been plaguing us for years.

So it was a 2d 8bit jumping game (but you occasionally could get bonus thing and shoot fireballs in waves) and throughout the levels pretty much only objects were blocks and tubes, and there were 2 kinds of levels - on the ground where sometimes you could get on the clouds and underground. I think my buddy also told me once you can also swim in this game, but I'm really unsure about this particular memory, he might've been talking about some other game. At the end of a chapter (at least the first one) there is this giant monster and you have to have fireballs to shoot him, and then there's some sort of double axe behind him, I guess an upgrade.

A DOS realtime military sim where you could play through various real and fictional Middle Eastern conflicts. Countries involved included Israel, Egypt, Iraq, Iran and Sudan. It was on a CD, so it probably came out in the 90s.

It was from a top-down perspective, zoomed out to see entire countries. On the ground, there were various military sites and cities. You could launch missiles and airplanes to destroy those sites, as well as shoot down other aircraft. Each city had its own stats, one of which was the level of political instability; however, diplomacy was not the goal, winning the war was.

It was not Conflict: Middle East

There was this series of games I remember playing back in the day - the main characters being a mouse, a rabbit and a hedgehog.

The one particular game I'm thinking of involved going to a fair but requiring tickets, and tickets would be gotten by doing mini-games at different locations in or around the fair.

The only scenes I can vividly remember are a roller-coaster next to a giant moose head, and a kitchen mini-game where you have to find ingredients I think.

These games were aimed at younger kids, and like I said, the mouse and rabbit characters were present throughout the "series".

Oh, and there's this other game called _____ Patty or something.
You shot at food objects and then had to face a weird face monster (a voice would shout "final boss" I think).
Your character was a crappy, brown sprite of what looked like a burger patty or a potato, it had eyes and a mouth, too.

Sorry for double-posting, but reading through these comments here I was reminded of another game I believe you all have probably heard of.

You play as a Red Power Ranger looking guy (blue torso/legs, red arms/feet/biker helmet), and his name is Mike.

He runs around inside what looks like a computer (there's computer board textures Mike walks on).

The game was a 2D side-scroller, Mike shot a gun of some sort and fought robots.

His death animation looked like this:
His body would flash little white stars, then his sprite would turn upside-down and then he'd disappear off the screen downwards.

I wish I could help someone out here, but I'm either not familiar with the games mentioned here or they've already been solved.

Thanks in advance to anyone helping out, and sorry again for double-posting!

One involved a small circular creature that could turn black or white and you had to use those two colors to solve puzzles on each stage. There would be positive and negative orbs that would push/pull you depending on your color.
