I've also got all kinds of other stuff.
-Colecovision,
-PC-Engine(FOR PARTS)(S-Video/Composite/Region modded),
-several NES games,
-ultra-rare CIB N64 games,
-12 of the 14 official Not for Resale Super Nintendo games in primo condition, vacuum packed, in climate controlled space(if the offer price is right),
-Tiger Game.com,
-Atari 2600(complete in box with several manuals, paddles and joysticks(for parts, not working, as is),
-Fairchild Channel F(Granddaddy Original 1976, complete with instructions, Fairchild brand PSU, 8 cartridges(all boxed complete) and even the signature monogrammed 'FAIRCHILD' dust-wipe(will only sell if price is right)
-Every SNES Parodius game
-Every bomberman game under the sun(if the price is right, I'm a huge bomberman fan and it's kinda become part of who I am)

If anyone expresses interest in any of these points, I'll expand, because typing out in full detail every last one of them could take me hours. But let me say this: Everything I've got is priced to sell, and I'd much rather you guys get it than some money grubbing ebayer. Not only can I rest assured that the buyer will cherish it and(hopefully) not resell it at their benefit, but I'll get that warm & fuzzy feeling knowing I helped a friend out by offering 20, 30, maybe more percent off what others are charging. Hell, depending on the object, I might pass it on for free(granted, I'd still need shipping charges taken care of.)

Lately I've been giving back. Helping at a cat shelter, being good to those who've wronged me... It goes a long way, and if this little gesture even gets some games in only one of you guys' hands, I'll be content.

>pic related is what I'm more than likely to part with very easily

Yup. It's boxed up with instructions, system base unit, light gun, sensor, included headphones, and pack in game "Sonic Fury". And to top it off, it has the official power supply(so you don't need to use batteries) and every game made for it. Including:
Pops Ghostly(factory sealed)
HydroSub 2021
Blue Thunder
and .38 Ambush Alley

However, you raise a good point. It does require a VCR to play the games. And let me tell you, it's more of a novelty, but they are pretty hard to come by. I'd pack up the whole thing with all the games for a hundred bucks. Plus shipping.

I'm trying to do just that! Luckily my job allows for almost constant ability to contact buyers. I'm trying to build a good reputation in hopes this does, in fact, become a viable alternative to eBay, Amazon, nintendoAge, etc. I firmly believe in the idea and plan to do everything I can to allow it to grow. I just started a few days ago, but from what I've read, my customers seem to be pretty satisfied with my work. I'll wait for them to chime in when they get their product delivered, but I can safely say that everything on my end has been very smooth thus far.

Of course, honesty is hard to find on the internetespecially 4chan, but that isn't necessarily reason to disregard it altogether.

I myself have bought from a fellow anon. Ninja Gaiden and Mega Man 2. The price was right, at about 20% off what eBayer's had it at. I was very satisfied and it gave me hope for future endeavors through /vr/'s /bst/.

It's an ideology that is simple to uphold. As long as you have people that want to give back, and people that want to play games, it can exist. You have to believe it can happen, if you want it to happen!

There's my Airbud speech. TL;DR: I really do think this is a great place, and so far, not a single anon(out of 6) has discouraged me. You may take that however you will, but I'm sticking with it. Thank you all. Seriously.

Ah shucks, Bomberman 64 was the one I was actually considering buying as I'm sure the amount I'd be willing to spend on CBFD CIB is laughable. before you even say you're flexible with pricing know that I have 0 desire to have it in box and would actually feel bad getting it and that I wouldn't want to spend more than $40.

What's the plastic film around many of your games? (I assume, pretty sure it's not just glare) Or are they not in your NIB list because they're already sold?

Conker's Bad Fur Day is just one of those games, you know? Very easy to want, but difficult to part with!

Also, most of them are in plastic cases. I got them in bulk from videogameboxprotectors.com. They help me sleep at night, and actually offer pretty rigid protection.

Aside from the fact that it's a brilliant, well developed game(albeit sluggish on occasion), and being released near the end of the systems lifespan, I don't really know.

I'd guess scarcity. Because those that have it, typically want to keep it. Although there may be nearly a million of them out there, the number that are actually available to the average person is significantly small.

That's the thing with high priced N64 games. They are legitimately hard to come by. Beast wars is up there, too, with under 20,000 in retail sales outside of blockbuster. Clayfighter Sculptors cut was ONLY through blockbuster, and even if every Blockbuster in the nation had five copies, that's still only about 5,000 copies. Worms Armageddon was another colossal sales failure in the United States. Team17 didn't have the pull like they did in Europe with Worms at the time of it's release on console.

I want to finally start a vidya collection but idon't know if that's something possible here because of both the prices and the fact that most games in here were pirated copies, any tips for a beginner? where to buy find good deals, etc,i'll add that i'm not really interested in sealed copies and fancy things like that because i'm planning on actually playing the games so as far as the game plays i'll take a beaten up cartridge.

Well, in the 90's owning legit vidya shit wasn't something rare since at that time 1dollar= 1 peso so it was as accessible as in the US,the problem went after 2001 when the economy went to shit and games started to cost too much so pirate copies went rampage and became the norm, for example the only legit game i ever owned is Sonic 3, and i have a console for every generation of vidya i've lived trough.
Nowadays most ps3 owners play orignal games because of the online, but unless you have a job that is well paid, are single and live with your parents, you can only get one game every 2 months or so because most games cost over 1000 pesos

What I would suggest is you can probably import it from other parts of Latin America (maybe Brasil). Not sure about the tariffs or any taxes you might have to pay, but when I was in Dominican Republic there were quite a few classic game shops, with most of the games being exported from the US. They seem to have worked just fine. You can also do what everyone else does and go to flea markets or game stores.

You got a free NBA Jam too? Anyway, got my stuff from Spleet too. It's in pristine condition and he obviously took great care of his games. May I ask where you acquired Gradius? I bought a game before that had that exact same barcode sticker on it. So anyway, assuming he even has any stuff left to sell, don't be afraid to leap for it. This dude is legit as fuck.

NBA Jam was an extremely nice gesture, btw, but... I don't own a game gear. Best I can do is pay your kindness forward and try and find a friend who can appreciate it.

This is a drawback, however, this particular PC-Engine was sold for parts(as a junk console). But I have read elsewhere that it's pretty easy to undo a region modification.

>>2377538
It is true. I do try to take very good care of my games and those that I acquire. As for where I got Gradius.. Thinking back, I'm pretty sure it was a stand at the State Fair several years ago. Though I can safely say that it was the only game the seller had that had a sticker like that. I believe it's metallic(magnetic maybe) for anti-theft purposes, but I didn't want to peel it off because it's probably one of the least invasive stickers I've ever seen on a game.

I am glad you have all been satisfied with the transactions. Hearing so fills my heart with joycall me a fag, I dare you.

Think of NBA Jam as a sort of.. calling card. That and the hair metal cassettes(those of you who got them know who you are). Half is about the games, the other is about the comradery. And when the two halves combine, it puts a huge smile on my face!

I'm planning on keeping the PCE region modded and slowly build up a collection of games and eventually get a CD. I'm not big on the ED.

On that note, I'm in need of a PCE controller and a reasonably priced game or two. Prefer shmup and action/platformer. Region doesn't matter, no JP text heavy games please.

NBA Jam? It was one of those games that seemed to be in every bag, box or binder of GameGear games at local thrift stores. I never felt the need to pass them along elsewhere, so they just stayed in a box with all my other duplicates. Which, By the way, I happen to have one of for the PC Engine. It's a pretty mediocre shmup, but it might get you started. It's called Ordyne and I'd easily part with it for five bucks. In hindsight, I should have packed it in as a bonus. I could probably ship it in a standard envelope too. Right? I don't know what the weight restrictions are on standard postage, but I know for sure it would fit in an envelope the size of a bank check. Does anyone know if that's allowed? I did a bit of reading on usps.gov about restrictions, but I mean, I've sent cash, and received gift cards plenty before, and a HuCard isn't much heavier than that.. Shoot. If all it costs is a postage stamp, consider it yours, free of charge. I can drop it in the mailbox tomorrow. The worst that will happen is it'll get sent back to me. Or it will show up on your end and you might have to pay a few cents for extra postage. Who knows.
As a reminder to others, as well, I've still got the Atari 2600, PowerPad, Zapper, and Actionmax bundles available and I'm prepared to slash prices like crazy.

Just a quick question, what's a fair and good price for a NES top loader, original model controller, rf adapter, and Original ac adapter? Owner isn't sure if it works, can't test it, but says it worked before long ago, it looks okay in pictures, just dusty. What's a good price to offer?

I personally thought that $70 was a fair jumping-off price. Although it is on the high-end, I would like to inform you that an anon came to me with a counter-offer(as I suggested he do) and we agreed upon $50. And as a side-note: Some of the games are infact quite valuable, collectible, hard to come by, desireable... Whichever adjective you choose, that set contains it.

I think there might have been like three total actual scams that have happened on the /vr/ BST and one happened to me long ago.

Long story short(er):

>>Set a rather large trade and everything was going well beforehand what with photo'd proof from both sides showing all games for examination and excellent communication.
>>We agree on a day to mail things out.
>>I mailed my stuff out on that day.
>>All contact suddenly gone.
>>Try to email but get no response for days.
>>Check the BST and see somebody on there asking what's the downside to scamming somebody etc etc
>>I'm officially worried!
>>Later hear from the guy and he's saying that college has been hectic.
>>Tell him sorry if I jumped the gun but to try and get stuff out this week.
>>Contact lost again for more days.
>>Ask him to send back my stuff or send what we agreed upon
>>Finally gets back to me and says life has been crazy and he can just paypal me for what I sent to him.
>> After waiting this long I say sure.
>>No word from him....again.
>>To frustrated and simply email him basically saying: "Shame on you!"
>>Emails me back saying there was a death in family and he wasn't able to email me from his sister's computer and will pay me this upcoming week.
>>Never hear from him again...

I got a SNES Mini from a guy in here for like 20 or 30 bucks. He didn't want to sell it on ebay for cash, just wanted a /vr/ trooper to have a good time with it. I always meant to post in here telling him I got it and that I was enjoying playing it, but life got ahead of me and long story short I moved across the country, but I still have the SNES, albiet it's in storage with Earthbound and Chrono Trigger at the moment.

If you're reading this and you wrote "to a fellow /vr/ trooper - keep the deals alive" I'm sorry I never let you know I got your SNES, but she's in good care!

This right here is why I follow the guideline. Although to be fair what he did was obviously a cop-out and he should see the consequences of what he's doing. Some people might want to do good trading and offer fair deals. Having people like that makes it harder for both parties to trust one another enough for this to continue. And if this gets ruined then it's back to either hunting for yard sales or straight to eBay prices.

Sometimes I wonder if some boards should really be anonymous. But as an alternative, I think we should rewrite the guidelines to include a list of honest traders that everyone can agree upon. So if someone is good for it (meaning they haven't fucked someone over), just post the name maybe the trade, and possibly proof that the item was sent.

Of course that isn't always going to work, but it'll keep at least some of the filth out of this thread which is better than nothing.

The biggest variables here are weight and location; using USPS I know that 2lbs and under is first class international which yields an amount of usually anywhere from 5 - 15 bucks. More than 2 lbs and the cost seems to jump to around 30-40 bucks. Again though, the actual location is a big factor.

There might be some cheaper alternatives, like shipping options that don't provide tracking, but I typically work through paypal which only has a few options.

Get out then you jerk, we don't want people like you ruining these threads, you know that they are peopel who really want to buy uncommon or most have titles for less than the bloated prices at ebay, and had the illusion of getting them at fair or reasonable prices from people who are actual real gamers and not just people who hoard and resell and speculate?

so please begone.

Sorry if I'm being overly pushy/shekel-y, I'm just trying to sell off whatever I can before the end of the month.
I'm willing to lowball, as long as offers can cover shipping! I also have some non /vr/ stuff

If you're the guy who was asking about Pokemon Stadium and the GBC, I'll gladly put those to the side for you!

Thanks again for your time and I'm sorry for clogging the BST.

This is a Dreamcast bundle with controller/vmu/cords I am selling. The system itself was pulled from a brand new boxed Dreamcast set a few months ago and was only played a handful of times. So if you're looking into getting a good lightly used Dreamcast to start out with, this a great choice. Asking $45 shipping included (unless you live outside the US. If you live somewhere really far out like southern California I may ask a little more help if priority shipping to there is extravagant).

Has anyone here ever been cucked by selling a game at a discount to who was believed to be a fellow gamer or collector, only to see said item immediately resold for the inflated market value seen on ebay? I don't plan to sell stuff at the moment, but if I do I'd rather sell at a good price to another person who'd appreciate it and be thankful rather than to a reseller who thinks I'm an idiot and tries to profit from my generosity.

mostly we don't want to encourage over inflated ebay prices. instead of scalping classic games we trade and sell reasonably amongst each other. at least that's the idea.

Giving away shit in the Texas DFW area (Plano):

So, I have two CRT arcade monitors that I intended to use following repair, but I don't have much interest in messing with a lot of different arcade stuff any more (I already have two other arcade projects to finish) so I probably won't be using them.

One is a WellsGardner, the other is... I don't recall. The non-WG model seemed to work with a decent picture but started to smoke after running for a minute or something. The WG I have no clue. I think I turned it on before I got it and it seemed to work, but please assume it is not working since that was just a short check some time ago and my memory is hazy. I can provide model details if someone thinks they'd be interested.

Both are totally free. You can take one or both. If they aren't taken, I will probably just trash them, but of course I'd rather see someone possibly use them for parts, the tube, or maybe even repair them.

If anyone is interested, please post here and I will give out my contact info so we can meet somewhere. I'll help load them into your vehicle.

Hey, I was hoping I could get some decent advice on selling my SNES, price wise.

I'm looking to sell it, it's the Super Mario All Star bundle and it comes in box, with the styrofoam insert and the manual as well. The console itself is in near mint condition and no colour fading/discolouring.

If someone is interested I'll take pictures, I'm thinking of asking $350 - I'm just not too knowledgeable when it comes to selling classic consoles. Through my Googling adventures I haven't really come across a concrete price.
