Such a great soundtrack for a great game.

Not familiar with the game. Post gameplay images you like, maybe? Looks dull from my cursory and highly biased Google image search.

Also, does the main guy really have to look so much like Link? It's like Golden Axe Warrior for Master System - they really just didn't have to copy Zelda so much.

Game builds on Ultimate! Play the Game isometric adventures more than it does Zelda. Here's a more colorful area from the main town in the game.

Also, I guess the Japanese think "regular" elves need blonde hair. The character designer's made protagonists with different hair colors than Lyle's.

I think it's the best action-adventure RPG on the system. I like it more than Beyond Oasis and Light Crusader.

The puzzles outclass anything in the Zelda games. Man, I can't believe they expect you to have such fast reflexes in this game. One that comes to mind is having to throw a ball onto a switch which activates a platform for a split second - meaning you have to throw and immediately jump to the gap or else you won't get across. I love that the game expected so much from the player.

If there is one thing that Climax was good at, it's making some of the best platforming-centric puzzles around.

It's a decently challenging platformer adventure with some combat as well. The structure's more linear than in Zelda outside of dungeons, but it compensates by emphasizing reflexes, enemy zoning, and treating story with brevity. Game's nice enough to give you warps between locations, some equipment progression, permanent life-bar increases cached secretly, and some mini-games too.

I think it has one of the more difficult control schemes to get used to initially, but mastering it is so worthwhile. It's an incredible game.
