Where can I get a CRT with arcade monitor picture quality, but without having to pay $500?

I'm using this for 15KHz output from my PC, btw.

I don't know where, but you'd have to drive there yourself to avoid shipping costs.

I'm really interested in a quality CRT arcade monitor myself for my "mame arcade cabinet", but I live in sweden so cheap options are non-existent.

This for example is good and I would buy it but it's 899$ with shipping included, that's too much money for me right now for a monitor. But I really want one... anyone know a good reseller in europe?

Your best option would probably be craigslist.

I'm pretty sure they're illegal in Europe now because someone complained about the leaded glass.

You aren't supposed to lick the screen.

Craigslist, Goodwill, side of the road, there are crt tv's everywhere. Arcade monitors weren't any better, they just had convenient analog pot controls and RGB inputs. A transcoder can get you there with a tv. This is from a free RCA my sister gave me, going through a RGB to svideo transcoder I got for $35.

Unless you're looking for higher persistence you can find a CRT with comparable quality inside a good CRT TV.
