just get an ISO mounting program such as PowerISO (personal fav), DAEMONtools or Alcohol 120%. Then download an ISO file of the game disk, and use the software to mount it. Alright, I'll look in to that. I just wonder if it would still work, given that the reason the discs won't work is because there's a critical process or something that the OS isn't backwards compatible enough to run.

Normally I just hire employees in bulks of 3 or 5 of each and let them walk anywhere.

I think at one point I reached the limit of employees.

But I make so much money I don't feel the need to micromanage my employees.

Still, going to give it a try at some point. The only thing I always do is uncheck the Mow the Lawn box.

>>2304135
They're probably called hyper coasters because they actually make more money than gigas for the same designs. This is due to the train design allowing an increased guest throughput and a small enough gap between excitement ratings for that increase in throughput to trump the greater excitement ratings that the gigas have.

That's just my experience though, I'm sure it depends on the design.

Hi /vr/ct, I've got a question. I was a big fan of the first RCT game and loved it, playing most of the parks and beating at least most of the first page. However, I tried to play RCT2 a while later and had a rough time with it. I couldn't beat the first park regardless of attempts, and all my coasters were considered very poor where they would've been decent in the first game.

Is this a recognized increase in difficulty, or is it just due to some change I have never been aware of? Are there any good things to keep in mind going back into it so I don't screw up another park entirely? Sorry if this is a ridiculous question - I just don't want to waste another few hours of effort like I have before.

Alright, so here's a Crazy Castle park I made. I started out with a few attractions like a prebuilt junior coaster and a small few others, which all became successful very quickly. Though there was a dip in profits and rating near the start, I quickly got it back up, raised the prices, and eventually built the coaster that you can see in the pic by myself with modest ratings and had over $1K to spare. Why was my rating taking? The guests were only complaining that they couldn't find the bathrooms or that they were hungry, and I still had food shops and restrooms all over the place. What am I doing wrong?

Sorry that this is the only screenshot I could get, by the way. The game crashed pretty soon after I took this.

the vanilla rct2 (especially the expansions) have shit scenario design. Some of them are nice (electric fields, for example) but otherwise there is excessive use of the mountain tool and not as much love and detail put into the rct1 scenarios.

Someday I plan to gather a good scenario pack from the /vr/ pack (I'll basically remove all the ebin maymay scenarios) and vj's and any single scenarios I can find floating around to make an expansion pack of scenarios that stick to the what Sawyer originally intended.

I don't think I ever saved that one, actually. I think the reason I failed that one to such a degree was because I immediately spent all of my money and had nothing left to spend developing handymen or food shops or minor things that keep rating from going down. I still charge as high as I can go for most things, but if something else is going poorly then it won't make up for that it seems.

Here's yesterday's RCT stream for those who are looking for some comfy time. Unfortunately it's blocked in some countries but it should be watchable on my Twitch channel's past broadcasts too.

Pretty much, yeah. The reason I say get the GOG version is that you don't have to have Steam installed so you can still install it on a potato computer that can't run Steam.

Already down RCT2 + Wacky Worlds (no Time Twister tho) so that's not too much of an issue

Fair enough, I doubt I'll be using anything less than Quad-Core potatoes so I'll happily buy the Steam version.

I'm thinking about building a water ride or two around Surf's Up to keep the water/beach theme going even though it's obviously rollercoaster heaven. should I just not bother and keep building coasters?

>> No.2344491

Ok, put up a new 2x2 collab in the document. Got the map working and everything, no crashes so it seems we're online! Come join, will probably take me a couple of days to be happy with my part so there's no hurry.

Post like in upload the tracks or posting better images with stats? Here's an image anyway.

I've only played Coaster Heaven to complete it, I find it more or less impossible to build a good looking park and complete the requirements, it just get's so messy. A protip when building Gigas is that if you use the cable lift you can have a really steep lift hill, something I did not know before I came to this thread.

I use OpenRCT2, so I simply printscreen. When I used vanilla I converted the .bmp screenshots to .png in Photoshop.
