Tuck a dryer sheet inside the case, wrap the outside with another dryer sheet. Leave it overnight, it's worked for me.

A lot of games I have bought smell like they were sitting in a smoker's room for years.

I dip the plastic cases(I take out the manuals, carts, cover art) in coconut oil. Overnight.

Smells good.

So does everything in a smokers house smell that abhorrent or is it something special about games/plastic/etc that just soaks in cigarette smell? From the games I've gotten, you'd think they were exhaling tobacco directly into the carts.

But anyway, you can clear out the smell by just putting dryer sheets in the case (or in a sealed baggy along with the game) and letting it sit for a day or two. Then open it back up and itll smell flowery, and after a while that smell will wear off and it'll be good as new.

Some smells just don't go away though, like if you store something in the same bin with Xcellite tools. Holy shit those things stink, which is a shame, they're good tools.

Yes, they can say what they want about the taste, but the smell is that of rancid piss, always since i was little for me that was the smell of rancid piss coming from a puddle in calcutta during summer.
