I don't remember that at all.

I bought a Game Gear last year and am enjoying it thoroughly.

I was in elementary school when GG was first released. Some kid brought his to school and let me play it. My first thought was "this is shit" and went back to playing my GB.

I might not have known was responsiveness was back then, but the thing felt clunky as hell compared to the Gameboy and home consoles.

I Kept my GG thinking it would age like wine and get more fun as my hands got bigger. I would buy the games by the stack from toys r us when they were down to 5$. I have so many bad games its ridiculous.

The Game Gear was cool for its time. A portable with a backlit color screen? Neat.

There's no real reason to play Game Gear versions of games available on the Master System aside from nostalgia nowadays.

I owned a game gear before I owned a game boy. Defenders of Oasis was the shit, pretty awesome for a handheld RPG in that era. I also liked Psychic World.

I remember spending all of 10 minutes playing my buddy's game gear in elementary school and I had a similar reaction. I thought it was cool, but then I remember him saying, "hey give it back, the batteries don't last very long".

I had that game. I hated it because I always had problems beating the first fucking level. I want to say maybe it's not as hard as I remember it, but I have a feeling it is.

I think the two GG Shinobi games are awesome.
