Genesis because nostalgia, but also for the sheer amount of great games.

Dreamcast is a close second and then finally the Master System.

I can't put the Saturn on the list because I've never played it.

A friend gifted me one years ago, it had a broken power switch, and I could only turn it on and off by plugging/unplugging it from the wall, and I had no games for it, so I never actually got to use it for anything other than a CD player.

Master System - Never played a real one. I own a Power Base Converter, Phantasy Star and Hang-On, could never find any other good titles for it.

Genesis - I missed out on the better non-Sonic titles, but after collecting some good Sega CD and 32X titles, I've been enjoying it more now than I ever did as a kid

Saturn - I love the console, but I have a hard time getting into the games on it since most of them have aged poorly. I have 35 games for it and haven't finished even half of them.

Dreamcast - Definitely my favorite. a wide variety of games and the quality is excellent.

Sega Genesis. I still play Genesis and Sega CD games.

Only ever played a Saturn a few times in my life, one of my friends had one with Nights Into Dreams, and a racing game, think it was Gran Turismo or something, as well as Bomberman.
Oh damn that Bomberman was fun multiplayer.
I want a Saturn, but I seriously can't afford it and the games to go with it.

Nice meme, but in case you are serous.

>This board is for the discussion of classic, or "retro" games. Retro gaming means consoles, computer games, arcade games (including pinball) and any other forms of video games on platforms launched in 1999 and earlier. With the release of the 8th generation of consoles, the Sega Dreamcast will now be considered "retro", though the remainder of the sixth generation (Xbox, PS2, GameCube) will not.

Seriously, read the sticky until you accept that.

I've only played Genesis and Game Gear. My first gaming memory was playing one of the Sonics (It was either 1 or 2) at a cousin's house. My first system ever was Game Gear, and I used to play Sonic 2, World Series Baseball, and the Bearstein Bears on that shit all the time. If I had to pick one of those two, probably Genesis.

I'd love to get a Dreamcast someday though.

The Power Base Converter was made to fit in a Model 1 Genesis, and I can vouch it fits in a Sega CDX.

But does it fit in the WonderMega?

I can only assume it doesn't physically or technologically work on a Model 3 Genesis. It also doesn't work if a 32X is involved despite fitting in one.
