It's problems with the emulator, not the ROM. For Pj64, you have to turn off Z-Buffer iirc or some shit right before you get to Professor Oak for the review. If you google enough, you'll figure it out.
However, it seems as though you can never take pictures of the secret signs to unlock Mew's level, but you can cheat for that.

This is a game I've almost never heard anyone else talk about, but it's fantastic. If you like puzzle games of this ilk that is.

It's a puzzle platformer similar to lemmings, but the gameplay is a little more involved. In each level the goal is to get one of your humans to the point. You can stack them, find spears to kill dinosaurs, or use it as a vault to get over pits as well as torches to keep them at bay in a certain way, burn down bushes etc. You can find other humans along the way by rescuing them and you even get a witch doctor that can sacrifice a human in your tribe to turn it into one of the told.

It was incredibly fun and took me a long time to get all the way through. The music was pretty great too. I used to jam along to this song so much.

I've never played a game that does things as well as Rez does. The way the level and the music develops over the course of a level is fantastic, the lack of explanation for things really adds to unlocking things Thought level 4 was the last one, didn't know about the final level until my friend and I decided to play it tripping again., and playing with a rumble pak is superb.
