I think it's stupid to include the "entertainment system" part as the actual name. Technically The playstation 2 is "playstation 2 computer entertainment system" but nobody argues that PS2CES is the full name.

Super Enn E Ess or Ess Enn E Ess. Just calling it the "Super Nintendo" always felt weird to me.

Look at the fucking logo. It say in big letters "SUPER NINTENDO" then in really tiny letters underneath it says "entertainment system". It seems pretty obvious what it's supposed to be called, at least at the time it was made.

Australian here, everyone I have ever met says either "Snes" or "Super Nintendo". I am part of a large community where I travel interstate frequently, too. "Snes" is definitely the most common pronunciation in the country.
