What's the single hardest game you've ever played?

For me it has to be this cocksucker. I've been playing it on and off for years and I just can't beat the level 4 boss. I can beat Ikaruga and Salamander and others no problem, but this thing always destroys me.

"Game tester" is literally a BUG tester. One of the most tedious jobs in the world. They generally hire college students with no jobs to do it over the summer. It's obviously not a "career".

Played it but, tried to beat it without internet but got stuck in the zikkurat or whatever it was(the level where you've had to be near some wall or you'll fall).
Never felt like going back to it.
Maybe some day I will.

Yeah the game is pretty hard. The best weapon is the one you get from the dragon on stage 2 though. Upgrade it fully from the dragon. And KEEP that weapon at all costs. even though other weapons may 'look' or 'seem' more damaging, they're NOT. Using that weapon will bring down the difficulty of the game by at least half.

I'm going to suppose you also mean "worth playing" because a lot of NES games are super hard.

Would have to be.. Twin Eagle/ Double Strike.
It looks silly but the controls are perfect, it's (probably) beatable as well, just extremely hard.

9 levels, die in 1 hit, start with 2 lives, no continues.
