You know the minigames where you turn over cards and have to find couples?

When I was a kid, 8 years old or so, I used to know every single table fully by heart. That is to say that I only needed to turn over 3 or 4 cards to know which table it was, and most of the times I could just solve the entire table first try.

I also used to know the perfect timing to get STARS (5 1-ups) in pic related.

Too bad I've forgotten it all now.

I used to play this game for hours, over and over, while listening to "...And Justice For All" from Metallica, over and over--- good times...

I wish the last world was harder. Kid me used two warp flutes last time and thought the whole thing was easy. Then I later played through the whole thing legit and it's better.

The game is better in a medium where you can save so you can play through the whole game without doing it all in one sitting

I love it better than SMW. Though both are awesome.

>parents buy me and brother each a NES game for Christmas
>I get Little Nemo and brother gets Super Mario Bros 3
>normally we just keep all our games in the family room and share them since we only have 1 NES anyways
>for some reason brother is pissed off that I got Little Nemo because he thinks it's a better game or something
>hides Mario in his room somewhere and says that nobody else is allowed to play it
>mfw I don't give a shit because Little Nemo is awesome

The Great Land of Small was the same way for me. For so long I thought it was just some insane shit I'd dreamt up.

Also, The Peanut Butter Solution, and parts of The Last Unicorn

This x 1000

Played through this game a few months ago. Almost 20 years after I got this game as a birthday present, and I STILL get furious at the fucking train. Aside from the final stages, it's probably the only level where I die more than once. But oh got tfw I passed it and made it to the lagoon for the first time....aaand then THAT level had that stupid fucking hidden area where you needed to run into a wall in a dead end to reach the final key. Fucking Nemo...

As for SMB3, it was kinda weird that in the 90's, befor internets, everyone everywhere seemed to know all the secrets (flutes etc.) by word of mouth. I personally learned about the third flute (that you get for collecting all the coins from, I think, like the 4th stage) only a few years ago. Needless to say, I felt like a noob.

I used to get that combination and imagine the star was a soldier wearing a helmet and hiding in the bushes.

The slot type game is all about rhythm. If you do a 3 count from the first selection you make and keep a constant rhythm of the 3 count during the other 2 entries you should have a match. Consistency is the hardest aspect of it.

>> No.2235280

I did it thanks to the visual, not thanks to time. If you press the button at point X it will always stop at the same point Y. Then, you just need to find the right point X.

US release was 90 and EU 91, so it would make sense to celebrate now if he first played it on it's release 25 years ago.
