Point and click adventure game for PC, Win 3.1 or 95 era, it was for little kids as most of the adventure resolved by simply clicking on things on the screen and solving puzzles I believe. I was extremely non-challenging at all.
I barely rememeber anything about it other than there was some sort of non-human creature (I think it was purple-colored) which was the partner of the main character or maybe it was the main character. I seem to remember it was a group of little kids and the creature, but not so sure.

Any idea?

Shoot 'em up game, very similar to Helios, might even be it. You fly on a pegasus (or something that looks like one at least) in ancient greek scenery... the thing that makes it not so likely to be Helios is that: I don't remember those cutscenes with the girl at all b) Helios doesn't have side-scrolling afaik

Oh and in one specific scene you fly in clouds and dodge some lightning that shoots out from... titans or some shit. This was a side-scrolling section.

So, any ideas?

My memory is really hazy about the specifics but I'm sure there was a part where lightning or something slashed the whole screen vertically and you had to dodge that, a bit like in turtles. And this happened while flying in the clouds.

alright, i'll give every detail i can think of.
you could play as 1 of three characters. your standard warrior, archer or mage type thing.
the archer was a girl and dressed sort of like robin hood.
the game obviously had combat but had a bunch of platforming mixed in. all i can remember is one level that was like a white and black chess/checker board. pieces of the board raised up and you had to jump up while protecting yourself. the goal of the level was to get to a portal at the top. the more i think about it, the more i think it was on one of those playstation demo discs, and i have gone through lists of those and i can't find the game. please help, i've been searching for years

I have two games. The first was a PC game I think, it was a side-scroller and I think had some fairly large pixels to it, I just remember there being a lot of black and green for bushes and trees. It was a side-scroller, and I think the protagonist might have had some sort of futuristic ray gun but I both can't remember and seem to remember it being a fantasy setting as well. The only other major thing I do remember was that you collected something that looked like a soda-can, may have been blue and yellow.

The second might be out of the realm of /vr/ but it was a PC 3D game on a disk that was supposed to be a different game. The game was isometric, and took place on a checkboard pattern floating platform. You had to stop something, I want to say shapes, from getting you and if they got you you died pretty violently. You may have had a gun of some kind to fight these things off but I can't really remember. Reminds me a bit of D-Generation.

Looking for a PC game. Top down view. I can only remember the opening of the game, which involved robed cultists involved in some ceremony in their temple. It was a horror game, and you might have been playing a murderer. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Also, it's not Cult, as others in previous threads where I've asked this have suggested.

>> No.2209160

I was actually gonna make a thread about this eventually but I kept forgetting to do so. It was a PC game that came out sometime before 2000, set in some jungle temple or something, there were a lot of ladders everywhere and you played as a dude in white clothing, and if you were playing multiplayer then player 2 was a dude in blue clothing. It had a level editor built in too iirc. Really hoping someone here recognizes what game I'm talking about, this was probably the third video game I ever played after Cruisin' USA and Doom 2

Looking for a game that got identified on /vr/ one time but I can't for the life of me find now and searching both my bookmarks and google has found me nothing. I know it was at least popular enough to have a wikipedia page that was linked to when it was identified.

Definitely out earlier than 1996, was isometric, the player controlled a single person that was bald and in brown robes with (I think) his head uncovered, could use potions or items or maybe even magic. Took place in dungeon like setting. The player and monsters were confined to grids and each level was one level of screens but room to room would change screen and I don't think monsters could move from room to room. Parts of the level would be lower or higher than others but it was still displayed in that single room and was part of the the overall level. Things moved in real time. but you're also trying to shoot down a plane with the boss, and if you don't shoot down the boss before the level's over, he gets away

it was in a chuck e cheese with a pretty elaborate setup to play it. you could say it was the centerpiece of this chuck e cheese's arcade. this would be 1994 or maybe 1995 when I saw it

I played a PC game as a kid, where you had this house at the bottom of the screen with a rotating turret. You have to shoot planes, helicopters etc. that are flying over and dropping parachute troopers. You can also kill the troopers or shoot their parachutes, so they fall and die. If the troopers get to the ground, they run to your house and it's game over. The game had pretty funky music too.

It's hard to know if it's a well known game, because we had many shareware games when I was kid, for example some cd called "100 best dos and windows games" or something like that. I'm not sure though where we got this turret game.

Okay, /vr/, got a bunch for you.

1) Giant Robots Fight/Shooter game; those robots were some similar to the ones of 'Evangelion', wide flat empty areas that you could fight on against other robots. For PC, '3D' graphics, third person view, I played that game around the 2000's (If I recall well)

2) Spaceships fight game, you controled a spaceshit and you must do different missions, you got the point of view of the pilot inside the ship, meaning that if you try to move the ship, you could see 'your hands' moving the ship lever, like a real pilot. The game background was always dark, giving me the hint it the game was ambient in deep space. I remenber the music was kind of spoopy, made me somewhat unneasy as kid. I may be mistaken, but I guess the game was the word 'hell' in it. PC game, previous 2000, maybe between 1994-1999. Not '3D', but the game did not use sprites (except for the cabin and the pilot movements). I recall the icon of that game was similar to a yellow/golden Waxing Crescent moon, with a design on it which I cant remenber.

3) Spaceship race/dodge game, simple game, you had a spaceship and you fly through different spacial roads in space (obviously), you had 3 paths to run, the ship need to reach the end of the track to win; in order to dodge holes and obstacles on the track, the ship could 'jump'. PC game, previous 2000. I guess it used sprites. It had trippy backgrounds.

4) Point and click adventure game. You were a child inside what it seem a phantom/cursed ship, that you must escape. I only remenber the end of that game, what it seem to be that you had to hang yourself/let yourself be asphixiated by a (what it seem to be) a living rope; then you green (Or blue?) coloured spirit ascended to the top of the ship, in order to fight the ghost of the captain, which was either green or grey coloured. Turns-based fight with elemental attacks, such as Fire, Ice, Wind and (Lighting?). PC game, previous 2000. Sprite graphics.

Thanks for your time.

Okay, I've got a really obscure one, but it's been bugging me for a while and I'm pretty sure that I'm literally the only human being who's ever played it.

It was a first person point and click game on the PC, that I played in the early 2000s, but it was probably made in the late 1990s. The player explored the North Pole and Santa's Workshop, but I remember it being a fairly empty game, a little bit like Myst. It was a kid's game, I'm pretty sure. There was one part where you talk to Ms. Claus and then she gets mad at Santa for taking too long at doing something, or something silly like that. I don't remember if the character you play as in explained or not.

Anyway, the game is in 2D, I remember driving on the side of a mountain. The screen would move from left to right as you drove against an opponent. I remember thunder striking down on the road randomly.

You had a clear view of the road and your car from the perspective in image related. That's what it looked like.

All that I can remember was that it was sort of isometric, and that one of the characters that joins you in a demo is a Robin Hood ripoff, with a beard(or a goatee, can't remember) and facial tattoos if I remember. Toki ticks all the buttons but man, I do not remember it looking like this at all, and there was no European release of Toki, sources saying it was possibly called something else but I can't find regional information at all.

It's possible I played some kind of ripoff of Toki, hence the confusion.

Thanks anyway!

Here's a couple more nuts to crack.

1. NES games where you control a plane in first person shooting down planes a la Top Gun. However the key difference is that instead of landing sequences, you got ships as enemies and had to shoot them down. They rose from the horizon and were hard to shoot.

2. A game where you play a ninja, your princess gets stolen and you have to chase them down to get her. I remember the first 2 stages being forests, a third possibly being a sewer. You could throw stars and the stages were long and fairly boring. Lots of enemies.

3. A NES game where you go on multiple attractions, possibly Disney. I only remember one of them which was a space simulator of some kind, where you quickly had to turn as indicated by arrows, or you would crash.

SuperFamicom game. Murder mystery in a town. You pick your character out of a selection of different people and go to take care of business. Might have been supernatural undertones to it as well. There was a map of the city, and there were several locations you can visit aside from the mansion where shit went down. Your main hub was a hotel. You can interact with others and research shit at the library. I think there was a hospital too. It was translated to English as well.

Ringing any bells?

Nobody's been able to answer this for me but I swear on my life it's a real game.

It was a playstation game with elements very similar to Daggerfall (first person dungeon crawling). You wake up in a cell and had to search the room for a key to open the door. I think it was sci-fi but it could have been modern day. I was too young at the time to understand or even remember.

The only things I remember are
-The main character looked young(maybe a kid) with sort of blueish hair and red santa-like clothing.
It's NOT Daze before christmas.

2. A game for DOS, played it around 1993.
Don't remember what it was about but it had a top-down point of view. You had to walk around in what kinda looked like a basement or bunker, don't know exactly what it was since the graphics were not really detailed. I remember that the floor was mostly gray and some parts looked like gravel.
There were pieces of broken glass or something on the floor and if I remember correctly you had to get rid of them to advance.
Might had to collect keys too but I'm not sure.
Your player was colored kind of green/baby blue and purple.

My brothers and I were in an Office Depot probably two decades ago with our dad. After poring over all the brand spanking new games we couldn't get, we noticed something on our way out: a display of PC CD-ROM game bundles that were priced at one cent. After confirming with an employee that the bundles were indeed one cent, we picked one at random. Two of the games I remember by name: Swarm, and Metal Knights. The best game I have long forgotten the name of. It was an isometric, story-driven espionage game set in the Middle East. It gave you literally no direction on what to do; I eventually got stuck and never finished it, but for at least a decade I have wished I could remember what the game was called.

TL;DR isometric story espionage game set in middle east, probably mid to late 90's, for PC

And once we played through that stuff we discovered this other mode where we'd get dropped into big open maps with crazy ramps and jumps and you could get rediculous air time and do a rediculous amounts of flips and stuff (possibly for points although that was never our goal so i'm not too sure)

Sup /vr/
I'm looking for a classic Game Boy game (prob from before 1995) that is a typical platformer where you go from left to right. I think you played in a medieval setting and I'm sure the first boss of the first level was a witch of some kind. From what I can recall it was kind of serious and not very kind-friendly like mario

Any idea?

I used to play this game when I was a child on my dads computer, I think it was on windows 98 but it may have been 95 (it might have been a DOS game). the game looked really old even for the games at that time. and I didn't get very far in it.

the game was a 2d platformer.

-the player character.
you played as a dude with a gun, that looked like the foot soldiers in command and conquer Red alert. he had blue clothes and a white gun that shot white shots. the shot looked like a thin white line. and you controlled the character by using the arrow keys and I think you shot on space.

-enemies.
in the first few levels the enemies were these white figures that looked like angels/gargoyles. they would just go in a straight line towards you when you got into the room they were inside. and they pretty much didn't do anything else.

-Objectives.
the objective in the game was as far as I remember to get through a series of locked doors, by getting keys in rooms with monsters.

-Design.
the graphical design of the game was a bit like Lode Runner. and I don't remember there being any UI on the screen. the first few walls in the game were brown/sand colored.

this is all I can remember about the game right now. I've spent quite some time on the internet searching for it, but is has all been in vain.

TL:DR - pls halp.

I remember this game, I played it on pc, win 95 or 98, but it could easily have been from the dos era.
You were on a boat going down some Vietnam river.

Then as the boat proceeded you shot people on the river side.

I've been curious about this game I played as a kid, lately. It was a multiplayer game with one player on each side, with little units that you'd send out to try and defeat the other player. All the units were toys of various kinds (the only one I distinctly remember is a teddybear), and I think it operated on a rock-paper-scissors system, so the teddy always defeated the toy soldier but always lost to the robot, or something like that.

It's a PC game and I think it might have had online, I remember I was playing it with a friend on two school computers while the rest of class watched Titanic (it was a boring slog of a movie and nobody cared if we watched or not).

A second game I'm curious about, also for PC, is one where you were hunting little fairies (think Navi) with a butterfly net. It was a platformer where you were on a small stage, similar to a Smash Bros stage, and fairies popped up. There were a lot of different ones, and there was even a database to keep track of which ones you'd caught. I think some of the fairies were hostile and attacked, but most were harmless and just tried to flee.

The graphics were slighly better that Super Mario Bros but worse than Super Metroid..if that makes sense.
Sorry I know it's not a lot of info but it's all I can remember right now.

I have a couple I wish I could remember. All of these were for PC and we had Windows 95 at the time. I'm pretty sure my grandma got me a lot of games in bargain bins so there's a good chance these are one-offs that literally no one has played.

1. I played it so much when I was 6-7. I think it was a point-and-click type game with some puzzles mixed in, but I don't remember what they were. Basically you were a troupe of dinosaurs traveling across space to different planets. I remember one that was cube robots, mostly because I liked it so much I would draw pictures of the robots and their cube world. It's pretty vague I know.

2. This one is probably going to be super vague. I remember it was another type of point-and-click adventure, but it was about water (like there were segments that showed you parts of water molecules). The water character IIRC looked like the World Industries water droplet logo. I can't remember anything else except the part where I got stuck, you had to talk to a person about something but you had to leave a message for them, but I could never find out what to write to them to make it work. I traveled all over the little town looking for where to go, but it was the only place. Might have been a place dealing with water. Mostly I wish I knew the title so I can find a let's play of it, if one exists.

Oh there was another one that was just sing-a-longs sung by a children's choir that was accompanied by little videos of dinosaurs acting out the songs, but the clips were stills of animated scenes. I remember that one very well, just not the name of it. It had songs like Found a Peanut and There's a Hole in My Pocket.

Yes! It was definitely a puzzle game, though I can't remember with 100% certainty that there were pulleys (it's been at least 15 years since I got to play the game, so my memory of it is very hazy). As for multiplayer, all I'm sure of is that eventually I mashed through the menu enough (at the time I didn't speak or read English so I couldn't tell anything in the menu) to where along with the regular white dude there was also a blue dude that I couldn't control, so all these years I just assumed that that was the second player's character.

Sorry for the delayed reply

I've been searching for a game that I played on the PC in the early 2000's but I'm almost positive it was released in 1999/1998.

It was a point and click game, with surreal looking 3D rendered graphics that looked kinda like Maabus or Eastern Mind.

In this game, the player could choose from a few different characters, who would each have their own tales to tell, and you played through the scenario they told, and they'd narrate every choice you'd make, like the DM in DnD or something. If I remember correctly the story would change with each important decision you'd make. There was a bit of FMV at the end of each story if I remember correctly.

It was probably based around the Canterbury Tales, because the game's greater atmosphere where the actual stories were told was an Inn, and there were a range of characters to play through, like "The Friar", "The Baker", "The Thief", "The Merchant", etc.

It was all fantasy too, if I remember correctly. Knights and armor, curses and magic, stuff like that.

I gave as much information as I really do recall, I'm sorry if it isn't enough. I appreciate any answers though! This has been a game I've been searching for for a while now.

I have no idea where to find this game, I think it came on one of those old ripoff Shareware discs like 1000 Great Games from Valusoft.

It's an old single-screen DOS shooter, with a presentation that kinda reminded me of Abadox. For some reason you can only move forward but never backwards, and the enemies never moved until you did. Anytime I moved, the enemy closet to me would just Kamikaze into me eventually.

- You had a laser machine gun.
- View was birdseye / from the top
- Enemies were other soldiers, shooting at you with green laser guns which you could pick up
- Low resolution graphics
