What the hell man, it's just a Gameboy Color game. Also Lufia thread.

That screen looks really good from the photo. Better than I remember any Game Boy or DS leading up to it.

Makes the urge to get one that much greater.

Virtual Console. I assume OP is using the browser exploit to sideload ROMs.

The nicest thing about that emulator is the 3D effect. The screen has a slight amount of depth to it, to make the overlay look more convincing.

It is indeed on the eShop. Just came out on the 15th of this month, in fact.

Hadn't even really heard of it until this thread. Might try it out; I have every game ever on my Everdrive, so it wouldn't hurt.

You should, it's a good game.

I've been playing Lufia II for 4-5 hours. When will the real story begin?

>> No.2212881

>>2212875
My guess is that he expected some light and simple from a GBC game, but got a complex game with entire pages full of different stats and meters instead.

>> No.2212929

>>2212873
Never. It's just mini episodes throughout. It only really gets its shit together at the very end, which of course is lifted straight from Lufia I. Also if you've played Lufia I, you'll notice how half the mini scenarios are lifted straight from there, too.

Lufia II's a good game, but story wise it's a huge letdown.

>>2212881
Yeah I think he meant that too. Lufia 3's combat system is really complex and allows for tons of cutsomization without making all characters reskins of one another. It's actually my favorite turn based one in any jrpg ever.

Deckard is a cool guy.

Put her in the back row and prioritize defense equipment and potions for her. She's really worth it building up since her spells are and will remain your absolute best damage dealer.

Hold down start or select after selecting it and before it starts and it will be set to it's native resolution.

You can also play it in a sort of 3D peek inside the box sort of way.

That's why I love GBC games on the 3DS.

On original Game Boy games, you can also switch to the classic pea-green backdrop, but they kind of overdo it.
