Hello /vr/. I've recently been trying to do netplay with a friend of mine. We got NES games to work with Nestopia but not so much SNES games. In terms of emulators, I've always had problems with ZSNES and how it would emulate the sound and graphics of some games, so, the one that I've found that doesn't have these problems was SNESGT. Nonetheless, SNESGT doesn't seem to have netplay so we tried using ZSNES and encountered many issues. We tried everything. Nestopia uses a client/server thing called Kaillera and it seems to also be used for MAME and Project64, among others. I was wondering, is it possible for one to make some sort of a plug in using Kaillera for SNESGT? Or is this a little too far fetched? If so, could there then possibly exist a version of SNESGT that contains netplay that someone is aware of? Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!

I think there's a way to make such a thing, but an emulator called Mednafen has netplay for multiple systems including SNES

Drag the rom on top of mednafen.exe.
The thing doesn't have a GUI so you should probably download a frontend like Mednaffe

Ah I see! So far, I tried a game that would usually get all glitchy and such through ZSNES and it ran perfectly. I'll probably download that GUI later. Right now I just wanna try out the netplay.... how does one do this?

Open the emulator with a game and press Alt-Shift-1. You'll be ask to input the same button twice but just put the second instance to the input you used for the first one.
