Ever played a game that was really awesome and forget what it was called? Post two descriptions of such games and try to provide a title for a previous poster's description
mine:

A strat with a video intro shows evergreen forests, many eyed greymen dancing around fires, bug thing hauling bricks or something then kills it's guard. Voice-over says something like "A beautiful place but very dangerous""The - enslaved the - until they revolted".
Standard strat gameplay units can go inside buildings and you can see them in there. so-so graphics like warcraft2 probably released around then.

A mouse-based rpg takes place on an infested space station you have a team of scientists, nurses, etc all really weak but you find weapons and survivors join your team. You find a guy bleeding, says something (all text),dies.
First-person point and click battles start spontaneously. Somewhat detailed pictures of the units there are giant rats and other enemies battle is simple like pokemon with animations turned off. A bit older '93 or so played it on a dos game demo CD.

I've tried this one before with no luck. I remember playing this arcade machine back around 1991. It was a beat-em-up where you were characters on skateboards.I think P1 and P2 were red and blue respectively. Round heads stand out in my mind as well. And no, it wasn't DJ Boy.

PC Dos Game.
You choose between a Madcat or Vulture to fight against each other 1 on 1 (possibly ripoff / unofficial).
Grid based movement, 3D FPS arena with a maze layout.
No difference whatsoever between the mechs apart from how it looks.

It was one of the game from a bunch, comes in multiple floppies.
Another game from those is one where you were given multiple vehicles to fight (left side vs right side, fixed screen) but you can only control one at a time. Simple graphics.

Can't help with any of the previous ones. But does anyone know of a sci-fi grid based PC game that existed in the 90's?

It was first person. You had to explore what I think was a space ship, and there were computers in the walls you could talk to. They had sinister personalities like HAL or GLaDOS and if you said the wrong thing to them they would shock you.

Combat was difficult as enemies could fight you even if you weren't facing them, and you could open a door and they'd instantly get on any side of you.

Can somebody please help me identify one NES game, or maybe GB one, as it was kind of all grey and green, but i do remember that i was playing it on tv, it played like a mega man with different stages that you can select and different weapons you can use, but it was sort of asian themed, with bamboo forests and the like. In that bamboo level you needed to climb up the whole level through small platforms and enemies that were trying to knock you off them. I also remember one of the weapons being a very long bo staff that were retractable.

I remember playing this game on my old Pentium way back in 98. Well, it's not a game per se, It was part of a configuration suite for sound cards that ran under Windows. Basically, you'd shoot down asteroids coming at you from a first person view. You had a 360º field of view, and I think that you had to shoot down a particular amount of red asteroids to move on to the next level. Anyone ever heard of this one?

DOS or Windows edutainment game from the mid-to-late 90s. One of the minigames within involved creating water or roller coasters with a sort of Chinese theme.

I believe lots of the minigames involved creatures who look like this little fucker from the Jeff Tunnell Productions logo. There may have been a dionsaurish pederast patriarch with a harem of kids as well (ala Barney). The game was probably part of a series with entries for different ages.

I played this game on some kind of home computer, probably a Windows 95 PC. I distinctly remember calling it "Miker Man" but that must not have been it's name because google turns up nothing. It was a sidescrolling platformer, and you were some guy in a blue suit and a helmet with a red visor and you shot red lasers. The graphics were about Atari 2600 level, and there was no music. The background was plain blue, and the floor and ceiling were gray I think. I remember the first boss being a totally featureless human head in a UFO. Also, the game must have had some kind of teleporting mechanic because I remember getting stuck in an empty space in the ceiling all the time. I once played a GameBoy game that in retrospect reminds me of the Shin Megami Tensei series, although I don't think it was a SMT game.

Basically, it was an RPG. There were towns and stuff. When you walked around in the overworld, you'd run into random encounters. The encounters were monsters, and you could fight them or you could talk to them and try to recruit them (success would depend on your dialogue choices). I think you could also combine existing monsters you had to make new ones.

All I really remember specifically is that one of the monster responses during the talking was "you're so indulgent!" or "you're not very indulgent" and since I was a kid I had no idea what 'indulgent' meant.

Had no luck finding this for years, PC FPS game from the late 90's, I checked a bunch of obscure FPS games ranging from In Pursuit of Greed and The Fortress of Dr. Radiaki to Fate and Hades 2, but never found it.

I think it was made with the Build Engine, but I could be wrong. Notable features - low amount of ammo, realistic weapons (no lazers or BFG's), slower paced than Doom, the enemies were red demons, they shot fireballs at you. I distinctly remember a tunnel, and once you got out of it there was a stone tower, you had to go inside the tower and demons would attack you. There were occult/satanic themes throughout the game. The game could have been unfinished as I remember it was short.

I don't think it's one of the Blood or Rise of the triad expansions/mods because neither of those games had red demons shooting fireballs, neither did they have that stone tower (unless I forgot?)

The second game was for Pc(early 90's)
You flew around in small spaceship, kind of looked a bit like the ones from Star Fox.
The game played a bit like star fox too, not like the normal levels.. more like the level where you get to battle starwolf.
The sky was always black, and the ground was white, kinda like snow but I'm not sure if it was really snow or not. The objective of the game was to destroy small bases on the ground, while other spaceships were shooting at you.

So like 30 years ago, yes yes, pretty old here, played a game on the school computers at school

It was like a castaway/survivor type game, you had limited time during the day which you could chop wood, fish, build a raft or whatever.

Basic graphics obviously, not text based but not far above stick figures

>> No.2178567

sorry to butt in with no titles to help other anons...but this thread seems more active than the other ones, and not remembering the title is bugging.

I remember a semi-old PC, turn-based squad tactics game where the first mission took place in a jungle. Before you got to the tactics/turn based part of the game, you had to hire mercenaries to fight for you, and you'd receive faxes in your office detailing your mission. The first mission was rescuing a president's daughter, I believe. When you hired the mercs, you got a full body illustration of what they looked like. I remember distinctly one of them looked like a ninja, and my young weeaboo mind would always hire him. I don't remember any voice overs or anything. Unfortunately that's all I really remember.

It was not Jagged Alliance 1 or 2, the hud was completely different.
