At first, the music for this game may sound naive and childish, well, what you'd expect from a Disney title, but behind the obvious kid-friendly sound, these compositions are actually pretty great, reminds me of Danny Elfman stuff a bit.
They're also beyond comfy, especially the Stage 1 track, it totally feels like you're strolling through a medieval village on a harvest festival, each track was perfect to set the mood of the stage.

Ok, I have to say I shed one tear out of nostalgia when I heard that opening theme again. Though I have to admit that if I hate anything about the ToP soundtrack is that the instruments sound really SLOPPY, as in the beat is not tight as if SNES had problems rendering the sounds in real time. A lot of great tunes though.

I love this one track from FF VI mainly because dat bass line

I have to agree here. Terranigma is not only one of the solidest piece of gameplay on SNES but it has an awesome soundtrack that never gets boring and portrays the awesome sense of wonder that is present all the time. Not something I'd buy as an orchestrated version but great in it's own right.

you're retarded. It doesn't have a sound, it makes the sounds the composers programmed it to make. It's not a midi device that has instruments programmed into it, you need to write your own drivers. I shouldn't even be arguing with a retard who makes blanket statements like "genesis sounds like midis", FYI kid midis can also sound as good or as bad as you make them depending on what instrument sets you use, MIDI isn't a sound format it's an instruction set you fucking retard.

Oh, also, OP;
If you 'really' like SNES music, I suggest you download .spc files and get a player for it.
A .spc is snes music ripped directly from the game. So the only quality lost is the Decoders fault. They are also tiny as hell. So tiny, in fact, that (nearly) all snes music ever ripped is only 158MB.
You can get SPC music here: http://snesmusic.org/v2/
Or, if you're willing to wade through all the crap, you can download the 158MB torrent here; http://snesmusic.org/v2/torrent.php

For players, Winamp has a few SPC plugins. I suggest SNESAmp, which can be downloaded here: http://alpha-ii.com/Download/Main.html
For on the go, Android has Droidsound. Completely free, no ads.
Warning though, there is another app called Droidsound that isn't related to playing music rips. Look for the app that has pic related as a icon.
If your device supports Droidsound-e, get that one. It's build ontop of the original Droidsound, has less bugs, etc.

Do you even undestand what a fucking *.spc file is?
One .SPC file contains the code , data and register status of the ALU.
It does not mater is ZSNES is accurrate or not when emulating the audio output , the .SPC will contain an exact copy of the data that is in the ALU ( samples , track data , and sound engine code).
And *.spc files work in real hardware

It's short but feels ebin even on easy. It delivers the goods straight away & constantly, with no time-wasting bridges between cool, unique gameplay segments that typify long games. /vr/ games are generally very short by modern standards. Personally, when almost any game takes longer than six hours, I begin praying for a speedy conclusion.

Anyway, Star Fox 2's structure is fairly unique. The brief, non-linear micro-campaign works remarkably well, so it's surprising it hasn't been imitated more. Non-linear games are almost universally grindy as hell.
