2151168 No.2151168[DELETED]  [Reply] [Original]

Share pictures of your retro game collections and dedicated retro gaming set-ups. This is the place for Sega power strips, stacked CRT's and daisy chained switchboxes.

Past threads have been subject of deletion and it hasn't been made clear on what grounds. Since the threads get a good response from the posters when they are up and don't break any of the board's rules, I don't see why this aspect of retro game collecting can't be discussed here. If I'm mistaken, I would like the mods/janitors to be more communicative about the reason for deletion.

Individual posts with non-retro consoles in them have also been deleted, which is a whole different matter, but important to note when taking pictures.

i don't get it either... the mods, which i won't insult in hopes of keeping this thread alive longer, seem to delete things at random.
looking at the archive it really doesn't make any sense.

but anyways, here's my work setup i use to test systems that i fix/mod. i'm lucky enough to be able to keep this shit here at work and use it after hours.

you'll find some test leads to hook up a/v cables (like the s-video>composite lead in front i used to test the svideo circuit of the tg16 [the tv only has composite and rf input]), a rat nest of wires and the reflection of my studly self as well as this thread on the monitor.

maybe i'll take some pictures of my 27" trinny and other tg-16 system at home, it's the only thing i have set up in my barebones apartment while i wait for a house to close.

I can't tell you how many times I've asked a question or made a good post and came back to see replies the next day just to find it and others gone. I usually have literally no idea why it was gone either.

They do it for free.

the worst part is instead of deleting this post you just made whose sole purpose is to piss off the mods, the mods are just going to delete the whole thread.

so thanks, asshole.

i cannot stress enough how nice it is having this 1984 Amdek color-I with NES so close to my main setup.

i regularly blaze through Super C for a nice feel good.

here is a closeup of the CRT used, model is listed in the file name.

Mirroring games across multiple monitors/screens is always great.

All "non-retro" seen is used for retro purposes. PS1/GBC/emulation/etc
PVM is displaying in RGB, HS420 is mirroring the sync line, which is composite video.

Didn't you have 2 still boxed at one point?

I vaguely remember you saying that before; This probably isn't the first time I've asked.

>>2152083
No, that's holding the sensor bar for the Wii/WiiU. The cable box has just been sitting there, since they came to replace the old one which stopped working. Really pisses me off too, since not only do I have nowhere to put it(the old one was nice and small) but the video output on it is incredibly shitty and it gets hot as shit.
The "technician" they sent for this was a real asshole too; Scratched the screen of the HS420 when he just dropped a coaxial cable into it.

Once posted a stupid-old picture in one of these threads, here's a new one with a new TV & new Genesis system. I just realized the N64 games are out of view to the left.

A lot of us have yellowed Super Nintendo no matter how well we treated them. Some SNES are susceptible to this due to bad plastic mixtures, luckily mine is still beautifully pristine. I thought this was common knowledge...

I am so jelly of all of you fuckers that have the space and consistent living arraignments to have setups like this.

I have to content my self with emulation on my PC/ Shield...

One day I'll live somewhere for more then 6 months, one fucking day.
