A friend and I want to play secret of mana for the first time ever, coop of course, but we go to different universities. Is there a way to emulate online so we can coop over the internet?

I know you can play online with Snes9x, but at least for me it's often a bit too much problem to connect with that and I often end up using zSnes

Yeah of course, but Netplay on ZSNES is unreliable and a bit of a pain in the ass to get working.

You'll also end up with faggots telling you not to use it because "OH ITS NOT ACCURATE" but its fucking fine.

What? I've never had a problem with it. I just check the IP of the server, put it in, remember to disable UDP, and connect. It sometimes takes a bit but it works. And whenever something de-syncs on one end I just save & load state
