Actually I'm the opposite. I usually go in to every old RPG, J or not, expecting at least one absolute cunt dungeon designed to pad the game or just show complete contempt for the player.

I think Sandy Petersen forgot about the lost soul limit, aswell. Pain Elementals near the beginning are completely harmless because of this oversight.

daggerfall, worst dungeon design ever, most of them randomly generated. like you follow some 1-mile tunnel only for it to end up in a dead end with nothing there but an empty room. daggerfall dungeons are absolutely huge.
