Atari 7800 XM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLi-Do192Fk

>Donkey Kong XM is one of the first games to use the amazing new Atari 7800 XM Expansion module. The highly anticpated Atari 7800 Expansion Module (XM) brings new features and functions to your classic 7800 console. The XM adds high score support, expanded audio features, and additional RAM for creating larger games with more colors and enhanced graphics.

>The XM also features two expansion ports, a SIO Port and a 15 Pin expansion port. These two ports will eventually be used with keyboards, storage devices, and other possible hardware add-ons.

>The 7800 Expansion module is already compatible with over 25 different games, including 10 games from the classic 7800 library. The device also has support for many popular 7800 home brew titles. There are also many brand new games already in production, many created for use exclusively with 7800 XM.

What do you think the Everdrive GBA will do that can't be done with an EZ Flash IV?

That guy just made me want a Virtua Boy and a flashcart.

Might be better with a way to make the controller cord longer too.

Better compatibility and native GB/C support?
I doubt it'd be possible, but having a flashcart that can play everything from GB to NDS would be sweet.

>> No.2059950

>>2059948
He has an everdrive for GB/C and it works on GBA and GB/C. That would be incredibly pointless.

>> No.2059952

>>2059950

I think there are multipurpose flashcarts.
In the infancy of GBA flashcarts, they played GB/C games natively too. In the infancy of DS flashcarts, they were repurposed GBA flashcarts with a passme. Both were playable on the old and new systems.
Does the everdrive GB/C play GBA games?

No.

that would look horrible, unless there's a diffuser screen too.

i've put nintendo DS backlights into game gears before, turns out great.

the first gg mod i did was an led backlight mod
using a plastic straw as a diffuser

it worked well enough...

I think that an Everdrive GBA would have an interface that didn't make me hate using it and that it wouldn't be a flimsy piece of shit, two things that I want out of my EZ Flash IV.

So the PSIO thing is dead in the water? Is someone else working on the same kind of project? I'd love to play PS backups without dealing with burning disks.

that's the general consensus around here.

i don't see the big deal, if your laser dies buy a new assembly for ten bucks and calibrate it properly for another fifteen years of playing
