Mortal Kombat, or really any fighting game, as long as you are both relatively the same skill level

I hated fighting games growing up because I never really owned one, so any experiences would be renting or borrowing one, or emulating, and it would turn into one guy figuring out how to spam one move to win and the other not having any fun, or me playing the CPU and getting ass raped constantly

When you have two people setting out entirely on a new genre though, it can be a beautiful thing, because both your play styles will evolve as you each find characters you like and are good with.
