Postal 2 is a fun game with a wonderful dark sense of humor, and toys with the player in some intelligent ways.

Postal 1 is a pretty god awful top down shooter with a "disturbing" storyline. You're an actual insane person in 1, who hears a demon in his head telling him to do things like burn down the school children and stuff (which you do). The game ends on a dark note with the main character being wheeled off into a 2spooky asylum, forever trapped with the demon in his head.

On the subject of his back story and his love of old games, I say there really shouldn't be any.

I think he should basically be a creature of his time. At first I thought he should eventually move on. But now I think it's better that he stays forever as a product of that era.
