Every other level as easy as shit tho I just suck at this part. ;_;

>> No.1993805

just item-2 past it
if they wanted you to do it legitimately they wouldn't give you item-2
it's what the developers intended
you could be all "oh no i wanna do it for real like a man" but its secretly a test of your critical thinking
you see something hard in life you can tackle it head on the difficult way or you can take an easy way out
if they both get to the same place what's the difference?
dont be headstrong, think before you act
then you can be a true mega man

>> No.1993806

This is MM2 right? Just use Item-2 you babby

I bet you're the kind of man who uses boss weaknesses too. Come on, that's just bad advice. The disappearing blocks are a staple in the series, so the sooner you get used to them the better.

>> No.1993881

>>1993768
I love how MM's eyes are closed and he's making a "If these blocks don't fucking stop, I'm going home and drinking an entire Energy Tank."

But yeah, it's already been said to item 2 across that shit. Out of all the times I've wrecked MM2, I never bothered to learn that block pattern.

Like, as a general rule? You learn by taking the hard way, gain an inherent understanding of how it works. Through that, you learn how to refine the system so that you don't have to do things the hard way every single time. The way I put it, if you wanna cut corners, you need to know *where* the corners are.

In videogames? The above can sometimes be applied if the developers make the game working off the principle that some curveballs are thrown at you in the early stages of the game to get you ready for when they fuck you raw in the endgame. Otherwise, there is no difference.

Only for the boss rush. Do you not enjoy a challenge, anon? I mean why pick hard mode if easy mode will get you to the ending faster, right?

So why do they work outside of the boss rush...?

>> No.1993915

Do you people responding to the "HURR HURR U EASY MODO BRO" trolls understand what makes a shitpost? Clearly you don't, because if you did you wouldn't encourage them.

For people who either don't have the skills or patience to fight them properly. Using their weaknesses pretty much takes out everything interesting about the boss battles and turns them into a DPS race.

the boss battles aren't that exciting. RM jumps at you, shoots its weapon, changes position, shoots his weapon.

the stages are my favorite part of classic megaman. Megaman X is awesome if regulated to only buster tho.

After a small amount of trial and error, I managed that part without Item-2 on my first playthrough when I was 13.

Now I'm 21 and I don't have anywhere near as much patience as I used to. Halp.

jump holding back slightly and tap forward a bit if your timing is off and you keep bonking your head on the blocks that appear above you.

>> No.1995447

It's good to learn how to do the block puzzle, it's not even a complicated pattern. Besides, it's faster if you have Item-1 for Air Man's stage instead.

>> No.1995448

I remember some jap dude made a song out of this. He can't get past the level because he needs item-2. But he's having a shit time defeating AirMan. Well worth the watch.

Can we just talk about the use of the term "based" for a second? Am the only one that this drives crazy? The rapper himself, Lil' Dick or what ever, that popularized this term in the context in which it's used lately, said that nabbed it from negative terms like "base head". He wanted to take a negative insult and turn it positive. Lil' Dick didn't mention that "base" in it's original context is short for "free base", as in cocaine. So when ever you call someone "based", regardless of what Lil' Dick tells you it means, you're telling that person that they're high on freebase coke.

This. Buster-only challenges aren't that exciting in the classic series unless you purely want to challenge yourself. In MMX, however, everything is much more fast-paced, making the boss battles more enjoyable.
