Anyone interested in trading an NES control deck for an SNES control deck? Looking for the original model, the one that takes composite. My toploader appears to have killed itself, that or my RF adapters.

I have 2 extra SNES decks+hook ups and controllers. Both of them are yellowed, one of them has had the top shell broken off from the connectors. It still functions. They both have a bit of breakage around the top/bottom shell seam. I only have 1 spare AV cable, the other one is going to have to be an RF switch.

well the going price is usually 20-25 and people swell them at that price rather well even without buyer protection etc. finding below average price auctions is actually pretty hard because the bidding usually ends up going up to the average price anyway, that or the shipping cost makes it not worth even bidding at all.

You also have to take into consideration that eBay takes 10% of the sales price as a fee along with Paypal taking somewhere around 3% and if you're a new seller, you could have to wait up to 21 days for your money.

Here you just have to make a sale, they pay you, you send it, everyone is happy.

No one wants your overpriced games. No one wants to deal with some autistic teenager who picks up 3 games and tries to sell on eBay.

The -only- reasonable way to resell on eBay and be profitable is high volume. You need to source huge collections people are liquidating, but to do that you need capital (Protip: You don't have capital).

Just quit while you're ahead kid, try and find a better job and I would completely forget about trying to resell or even build your collection at a reasonable rate. If you're in college with no disposable income sure, go try out the thrift stores and shit and see if you can find some games at a reasonable price, but don't count on it.

according to my tests with a voltmeter the fuse is good. the power plug plastic is broken, you can buy and put in a replacement part from nes diamond life or ebay

the board comes with a working power switch, pin connector (it's the removable kind) and a controller port i have attached a photo showing what it looked like before i removed it from the case. it will be mailed in a sturdy box with bubble wrap and in an electrostatic bag.

From someone who owned 30+ Saturns (and had to fix a LOT of them), the Saturn is one of the machines that needs the least maintenance. You don't have problems like needing to replace blown fuses (MCD2), or the drive caddy becoming useless (MCD1, PSX), or leaking caps destroying the pcb (GG, Laseractive).

Nah, most of the time you need to maybe clean it and recalibrate the laser. That machine is damn near indestructible, which is all the more impressive considering how complex it is.

They use good capacitors for the most part. There's a lot of capacitors and other parts to replace if you do preventive maintenance. Just blasting stuff with compressed air is easy. Most consoles are easy to clean if that's all you do.
