It's about as valid as posting pic related in any thread. You thought it was clever the first time you encountered it so now you're going to parrot it at every opportunity. It's not an original thought, and you're not really adding anything to the conversation. Your response comes a bit closer. Still, while "he didn't even change their eye-width or the thinkness of their lips or anything, even their eyebrows are the same" is a valid observation, it fails to concede that it's Shinkiro's style, like any other. Street Fighter has a lot of same face (particularly among women; male characters are far more likely to be over exaggerated). Dragon Ball has a serious case of same face, too. So does Peanuts. It's funny how rarely "same face" shows up in any thread involving them, especially when artwork isn't the specific topic.

Sorry for disturbing your jimmies, but honestly he could do SOMETHING to change it up. I used the picture to make an assessment, and I validated it with some observations.

For the record I also criticized art from a Street Fighter thread a little while back, and got a number of "it's just the style!" responses that completely glossed over how fucking awful some of the anatomy on the art was.

At this level of detail, drawing the same features isn't style, it's copping out. If Liefield gets shit on for drawing pouches and strategically hiding every foot he has to draw behind rocks and smoke, then I can rightly call out an artist who's being lazy with his facial anatomies. Even an upcurled eyebrow, or a thicker bottom lip, or different eye placement could easily change the homogeniety of the faces. Someone else made the initial observation, true, but I happen to agree with it, and although I'm not some greentexting idiot, there's merit to it.

There's no merit for parroting a criticism just for the sake of saying it. We all know his faces are very similar. Does it really need to be said every time? Is the person(s) who says it really contributing anything, especially when that's the only thing they say?

I might get the impression that a person is drawing this conclusion themselves if they didn't invariably say either "same face" or "Clooney" every time. Instead I get the impression that they're scrambling to be the first person to say it.
