I'm playing that game for the first time and damn it's awesome. Alundra needs more love.

Usually gilded falcons and life shards. You can't revisit dreams, so if you don't find them there you're SOL. AFAIK you can find one shard and one falcon in each. A (very) few dungeons can't be revisited too.

I guess the two mostly missed falcons are in Olaf's (?? the miner guy I think) house which you should get ASAP, and his dream. You have to fight a bunch of monkeys before the dream ends very fast to get a chest to appear AND open it. It's a matter of seconds :(

I had to reset a lot to get his fucking falcon

It's a better Zelda game then Zelda is.

Bro don't worry about getting missables...

The intro to this game is fucking amazing, the first like 1-3 dungeons are great.

But it fucking drags.. and it goes on and on, and the puzzles get ridiculously precise. Its not even about not being able to figure out, its that you need to do shit like cut ropes at precise times TWICE in one room, throw statues on panels shifting at the speed of light FOUR TIMES, do timed jumping puzzles and the like.

I like it, but if they toned down the puzzle difficulty, and pumped up the combat difficulty I wouldn't complain a bit. Starts off hard as fuck but towards the end its a joke, doesn't help once you get 3 castings of Magic you basically turn into a rapist.

Awesome game. Bought this on impulse in mid 1998 (damn, that was seriously long after us and jap release) not expecting much. Has charm and good music and effects. Imo you forgive it's foibles

No, but this is actually true in Alundra's case.

I don't remember the difficulty because it was mostly my brother playing it years ago, but I do remember a lot of block-pushing puzzles, even more than you would expect in a Zeldaish game. It didn't seem very fun to me.

I really loved the game. I think the main thing people don't give it enough credit for is the plot. The interplay between characters and the twists and turns are very entertaining, and some things are genuinely shocking if you get into it.

This is the one and only game I've had to use a guide to complete. Forever stuck on the damn thing. The story is just so incredible though, had to finish it.

Some of the early bosses are an 11 on the sphincter pucker meter with the controls. and the top down perspective really doesn't work too well considering how much platformibg there is.

Does someone have to really explain to you what a Sphincter is?

Unless English isnt your first language of course, then it's fine. It's not like there will be much chance to use it in real life.
