What are some good, possibly little-known, lifesim and feelgood style /vr/ games? Mostly in the same vein as Harvest Moon, Animal Forest, maybe even Seaman and the Chao-raising from Sonic Adventure 1 and 2.

Can't go wrong with the river king games. They were also made by Natsume.

Never played HM before, never cared to look too into it. What is it?

Legend of the River King 2 was just released on 3DS VC this week. I loved that game. The PS2 game was pretty good too.

thanks for the suggestion, I was hoping more people would join in but I guess there aren't too many games like this.

Harvest Moon isn't really a sim series. It's more of a management/planning series based around rural life.

Not really retro, but Reccetear was quite relaxing and had a retro feel. It's a spin on Harvest Moon style games. I'm sure there are some retro games like that that never got released in the U.S.

Jungle Park for Windows 3.1/Mac OS something, Sega Saturn, and Sony PlayStation.

>This game's similar in ways to Cubivore, the next game he and >Saru Brunei made (funny how a few of the Marigul people, like Iida >and Noise, either started in or were aiming at PC game >development).
>Lots of mini-games, some adventuring and puzzle-solving required >to go from area to area, but I'm not sure if there's any ultimate goal >to the game. For the most part, it's a chill, laid-back island >exploration game where you travel across four seasons.
