I couldn't even finish that game.
The final boss had a teleporting punch combo attack, which is untelegraphed, hits several times in succession and lasts longer than your dodge iframes; he hits you, you're fucked. And whenever I got close to winning through predictive kiting, he'd just instagib me by knocking me straight out the window.

Anyway, probably Majora's Mask.

Beating Link's Awakening. I was sad for two reasons: 1) Because of what happened in the game 2) Because it was over. I was 7.

The next game to make me feel was many years later when I was 12. It was Ocarina of time. Again I was sad because it was over.

No game has made me feel again since then except very recently when I completed The Last of Us.

Animal Crossing gets you when one of your favorite neighbors moves away.

Or when you don't play for a while and then come back and your neighbors are like "I missed you. Where have you been?"

Or when you get a letter from a neighbor saying they miss you or whatever and then realize they've moved out of the town and you can't say sorry to them.

Or when you read that copypasta about the guy whose mom died and left him all those notes and presents in Animal Crossing...

I wish I could control the system clock better so that not too much time passes if I leave the town for months in real life. I only want a day or two to pass in game.

Zero was designed to be the hero of the X series, but Capcom wanted a more recognizable hero so X was born. I wonder what would've happened if Zero was the hero, or Zero stayed dead.

X went pretty downhill pretty fast, 1 2 3 4 are really good, with 4 teetering dangerously on terrible with the story taking more of a main stage, and 5 and 6 being questionable, with 6 being pretty fucking rough.

kotor 1 probably, dark side ending is pretty evil.

before that I was either too young to really understand to get feels and just cared about the gameplay or I simply didn't care.

I thought the flute boy part was sad because you got to witness the transformation from flesh-and-blood boy to inanimate, lifeless tree. You witnessed his humanity fade away.

Your uncle is fine per the ending. Where he disappeared to between his bout of heartburn in the prologue and the ending is beyond me, though.

Allegedly the soldiers' design were meant to imply that they weren't brainwashed Hylrulians, but magically animated armor. Early spritework exists for soldiers that are clearly men in armor. Of course, the game's own text contradicts that.

In Ultima VII's expansion, the Serpent Isle, learning about what happened to Lord Blackthorn after his exile, how he made peace with everything and moved on.
It was really cool to hear about him again, made me feel so sentimental I had to go back and play Ultima V again.

This used to make me cry when I was like 3-4, but not in the way of like "I'm 3 or 4 so anything I don't like makes me cry" but like that it actually caused me to feel sad for some reason.

At least as far as I remember. Maybe I was just a dumb kid and cried about it for no reason.

Ending of KH1 was frustration sadness. Chain of Memories was feelsy but too much optimism to be actually sad. 358/2 Days was absolute hell, but it wasn't until I played KH:3D and Riku says "Who are you?" to Xion WHEN HE CLEARLY HAD MET HER BUT FORGOTTEN BECAUSE SHE DIED OH MY GO. Or the Corrupted Data Riku fight in re:coded, because beating the shit out of your best friend while listening to that music is something no person should go through.

For something not KH, Professor Layton 3: The Unwound Future has a horridly depressing ending. You join up with this woman who looks strikingly similar to your love from your college years who died in a horrific time machine explosion. Then you find out like thirty minutes before it's too late that the machine worked but she's 'unstable' and has to return to the point the explosion would have killed her. So 10 fucking years of unresolved loss just got the absolute WORST closure you could ever experience. And if you understand Layton's character, for him to actually cry is just...shit. And it is a PUZZLE GAME.
