Buy, Sell, Trade thread

What I'm looking for:

>Yoshi no Cookie: Kuruppon Oven de Cookie
>Yoshi's island (SNES Big Box Version)

NOTE: BST threads are not for you too advertise your eBay shit

>> No.1931362

Shouldn't you post up the rules pic? I would but I don't have it saved.

Anyway, if anyone's interested:

Loose but in working, clean condition:
Donkey Kong 64
Mischief Makers

Killer Instinct (Snes)
Mortal Kombat (Snes)

Complete and in great condition:
Sonic Adventure
Toy Commander
Crazy Taxi
Iron Aces

Everything works and I send as many pictures as needed. I don't like putting up set prices, because that might scare people away from getting a deal, so if you want some of these just offer me a trade/number and we'll work it out.

I'm not reseller scum, just a collector.

I'm looking for any common Shmups on the ps1/2, Castlevania games (except for 1-4) and shit like that.

I've sold some DC games here before, I'm just here to help some troopers out and maybe catch a deal or two.

I'm looking for the following consoles:

NES, any model, at a reasonable price, preferrably with AV output.
SNES, same as above.
Master System, original model.
Game Boy and Game Boy Color
Nintendo 64, any model, preferrably with an Expansion Pak.

I want to see if the prices are reasonable, since I'm on a severe budget. Down here where I live, they sell NES models at the equivalent of $200. Damn...

flea markets are your best bet. Retro game shops treat everything as "Ultra Rare Vintage Gold!". In Flea Markets you can maybe find an old man selling his kid's old videogames. That's how my brother got 2 N64s and even a Saturn.

Looking for a Sega Genesis Model 2. I'm a bit of a neat freak, so it's been hell trying to find a clean one in good condition for a reasonable price. Tired of seeing grime caked in the contours of the console, and would be enthused if I happened upon an anon looking to sell theirs that benefited from the care that I know a lot of /vr/troopers bestow upon their items.

I'm also interested in nabbing a 6 button Genesis controller. If anyone with the aforementioned console also has one to throw in, awesome.

Finally, I'm toying around with collecting for Master System, but I need the actual System first. However, finding them here in the wild is practically impossible. Anyone here have one they'd be willing to part with for a reasonable price?

>>1933515
>i'm also not sure what's the difference between running at 50hz and 60hz
Games that are not optimized for PAL with run 17% slower on a STOCK PAL system. RF connection will not work properly with NTSC TV. Through it, the picture would be black and white, but i'm not sure how it will work on your Pal-M TV. RF is bad anyway, and i'm sure all consoles will work normal through composite cables. I can give you those for every console except Master System(i don't even have those for MS).

With PAL N64 you will be able to use only PAL games. For NES and SNES i can do a region mod. MS and GB/GBC are region free.

>I want these consoles for use with flashcarts, which I assume are region-free.
They are region free, but you need to load them up with PAL roms unless the system is region modded(then you can use whatever).

Finally, you will need one voltage converter for European power adapters. Those are cheap(around 10$ where i live).

I also have a box full of Atari 2600 and a few 7800 games, all of varying condition, a few Game Boy games, Zelda 1, Mario 2, a yellowed, Blockbuster-stickered F-Zero X, and some loose PSP games. Email me.

Lol. This reminds me of when I was trying to buy my dad a Budweiser beach towel for his birthday on ebay. The only one I could find was signed by some no-name Nascar driver or something. They had it listed for like $70 and I made an offer for $20 and surprisingly she took it. A couple days later I get this message that's like 5 paragraphs long going on about how lucky I am that she gave me such a great deal and how it's collectible and worth easily 10x that amount. My response was pretty much "What would you recommend to get the ink out?"

I have a tee shirt that was signed by Tito Puente Jr., and it's been through the wash so many times that the signature is only half-visible. so i go with my neighbor and ask him to test the disc for me in his ps1, nothing so it was the disc after all, since that day on i never buy used cd or dvd media, i wasted about 34 hours of gameplay

The CDs are good for all of them, the rest varies. I think I have 1 of each which is pretty good overall, but the rest have some damage on the case because I'm using them as spares for other games that use medium cases.

Only want like 2-3$ for them though, but if you only want those, shipping will end up costing more than the games, due to weight. I could possible get rid of the cases (they are broken anyway) to make shipping cheaper.

autographs 101, just for you anon: don't get your collectibles signed by random people unless you plan to keep the item and that's really what you want to own for yourself. for sure don't ever do it to add value to something you plan to sell, because that often backfires. if the autograph were valuable on its own, it *might* add value to something directly related to that person (like a baseball player's autograph on his own card or game-worn jersey, or a comic writer/penciler/inker's autograph on his own book). but if the collectible is valuable on its own, and the signature is less desirable than the undamaged/rare collectible, don't fucking ruin it by having people sign it, especially inconsequential, unrelated people. you reduce the condition, desirability, and market for the item. in other words, you permanently kill its value.

In that case it probably does add a bit of value considering MTPO is like a 25-30 dollar game, and you could probably push for like 50-60 fairly easily for novelty factor.

>> No.1955860

>>1955767

I'm probably not the only one who thinks this but that's cool. Mike Tyson signing Mike Tyson's Punch Out? Absolutely. Because people can make the connection between the signature and the game. That's fucking neato anon.

Having AVGN sign a copy of Action 52? No, you would have to explain to people why he signed it. That's complex. More than trying to explain if you had a Miyamoto (I think more people know who Mario is but not Miyamoto).

Which is why I think AVGN's signature is useless.

Your Mike Tyson signed puts it in the priceless catagory. You can't put a price on that.

His autograph is worth far less than the game that was signed because the bottom line is that he's just a minor internet "celebrity" and he had nothing to do with the creation of that game. He is not part of that game's history. I am in UK, here we call them, bootsales instead of flea markets (although maybe thats just me.) But anyway, like the second anon said, its very up and down. I tend to go to about 3 a week. I would say i get an incredible score 1 out of 6 times. 3 out of those times i walk away with some pretty decent to okay stuff. The other 2 times i walk out empty handed or with 1 thing.

It can be frustrating going for 2 weeks in a row without getting anything good. But when you hit the jackpot it really makes up for it. FYI, more recently i walked away with a gamecube, one controller, with 20 games inc. zelda:collectors edition for £5. Spent £5 on 20 ps1 games including koudelka, grandia, gallerians, ff8 and 7, front mission 3, alundra 2, adv. of alundra, resi 2 and 3, crash 2.
And then 2 days ago walked to one, came away completely empty handed. Like i said, it varies massively. In my experience, the poorer the area the more clueless the people are. Whereas you get nearer london and people are more clued up. Also, after a while u begin to realize the type of people who overcharge for there shit, and the type of people who will sell u pokemon stadium boxed for the n64 in great cond. for 50p. (yup, that happened.)

Also, non-franchised electrical stores or pawn shops can occasionally have great hidden gems for crazy cheap prices. CEX takes the piss though, and i dont know if any other UKfags have noticed this (would be really interested to know if u have), but have u ever noticed how CEX's are ALWAYS placed conveniently in very close proximity to all the charity shops in town.? I imagine them sending round scouts in the morning to buy up all the good shit. It could just be me talking crazy talk.

Oh yeah and charity shops will have some decent/okay-ish in them about 5% of the time. RSPCA sell things reasonably. Oxfam overprices there shit so much (check out their online games store for some top lulz).

>get contacted asking for shit I don't have in my posting. Literally have gotten 3 seperate emails asking if I'm selling a ps3 controller or Smash Bros for N64 when I'm selling zero n64 carts.

Its gotten to the point where I'd rather just have a faceless transaction, you paypal me and I ship it to you. Problem is eBay is shit if you're a seller (even though as a buyer I legit only contact if theres a problem like shit doesn't work or I haven't received it within in the time frame), but I know theres cunts out there who just try to rip you off because of ebays buyer protection.

Seriously.. My prices aren't even unreasonable and people low ball the fuck out of me. Only shit I've managed to sell is 3 of my extra gamecube controllers for 15 each (bought wavebirds years ago before the huge influx of gamecube controller purchasers) which I know were fucked up but told them in the ad and in person I dont know if they worked. What else... duplicate ICO/SotC, and thats pretty much it. I've had this ad up for going on 3 months now and theres tons of stuff in it. Me again. I'm broke as hell and just trying to sell these two to make some money to tide me over. There are no good options, are there?

Ebay's fees aren't too bad, except the final value fee where they take %10 in addition to the other fees. Still looking like my best option.

Amazon wants me to have a credit card, which I don't have since I'm broke as hell. They also say something about membership fees.

All the "We buy all your old games!" websites are only offering $100 for EB, only to turn around and charge $160 or more to customers.

Craigslist has given me one reseller and that's it. Still waiting to hear back from the guy that was "Very interested" in buying the games.

I honestly thought by listing these games at $10-$20 or more below market value would help them sell locally. Unfortunately it seems the only people local are resellers.

The 200 dollar carts sit on ebay for fucking months, sometimes years.

If I see someone posting 10 bucks below eBay value I just go on fucking eBay with bin free shipping and get it in my mail when I get home sometime next week because its more of a fucking hassle to contact people and meet up to actually do shit on craigslist.

If you want to move it, you gotta price it like you wanna move it. Sorry bro, thems the brakes.

You make a good point.

Earthbound, SNES, NTSC, Cart only, tested and works. Saving still works, which is strange since it's still on the original battery. As such, I would say you should probably replace the battery, but I can verify that the cart saves and keeps saves when removed from the SNES. Cart hasn't been opened or cleaned, but it's in excellent condition, with the only flaws being minor wear on the label. Those flaws are
>A small gouge in the dark blue part in the upper right corner
>A small speck of the label is missing in the grey logo area, in the middle, between the 2nd to top line and the 3rd to top line.
>A small speck is missing of the red section where the front and top meet
>What appears to be an indent on the inside of the left leg of the Starman

Super Mario RPG, SNES, NTSC. Cart only, tested and works. Saving still works, even though it's still using the original battery. Cart hasn't been opened or cleaned, but is in excellent condition. Only flaws are minor wear on the label. Those flaws are
>where the label rests where the front meets the top has some specks where the label was worn off or whatever.

Asking for $145 for both, or $130 for EB separate and $25 for SMRPG separate. Again, these are CART ONLY, no manuals, no guides, no anything, just the carts. Carts are tested and work, and I can provide proof if anyone wants it. Not interested in trades, I am a broke student that needs the money.

If interested, contact me. Email is in name field. and obscured on purpose. Picture is the two games, but my camera sucks so you can't really make out the label problems. I assure you, those labels are not flawless.

>I think banks are a lot shadier.
I know for a fact that they are not. A lot of what banks do has to be transparent in order to be insured by federal governments. Paypal hides everything they do but anyone who knows how banks work can see exactly the kinds of scams they are pulling.

Better hope your account never gets locked or frozen for any arbitrary reason that Paypal never has to disclose to you. Meanwhile they are profiting from the float on that cash. Translation: It is in Paypal's financial interest to lock you out of accessing your money, even if you swear that you'll never use them again. Because realistically, you will.

You mean how to tell them apart? 2 things with out taking the console apart.
-Not my pic but you want to look down at the pin connecter and check if the tabs of the connector are black. All 1chips have this.
-The serial number on the bottom will start in UN3. Some rare cases of 1chips with UN6.

The problem with the above two is that those differences are also found on the rgb revisions and some others. You wont know you have a real 1chip till you open the console.

Also more info there are 3 revisions of 1chips.

sns101 = mini
sns001 = normal snes

The mini needs to be modded for rgb. It's not rgb or s video native. It's not terrible but the shell breaks if you go ape on it. Mainly you need to check the power and reset buttons.

>> No.1973847

>>1973842
Thanks man, so I'd have to weigh the cost of a 1chip + bypass vs a mini, RGB mod and bypass but the end result is the same.

>> No.1973873

>>1973847
Pretty much. You don't need to mod a 1chip though. The picture it outputs is near the same as a rgb bypass mod. The mini doesn't have a led power on light either which is a huge deal for some.

Also you should know that the 1chips and minis have some issues with a handful of games. Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts being the main one with Arthur's sprite flashing with some weapons. If you google you'll run into 99% bullshit just fyi. 99% of games play without issue.

Oh and last thing if you're going to drop a lot of cash on this stuff. Some snes have what's called a vertical bar on the screen. 1chips and minis don't seem to have this problem but it's something you should look out for. rgb bypass will get rid of it from what I'm told though. rgb bypass is only doable on 1chips and minis.

So I gotta friggen clean the shit out of these way harder then a normal cleaning, which would be a quick cleaning with some Isopropyl. I legit have to take this thing apart and do a complete once over on these things to clean them, then do some Retrobright on them so they don't look like they've been in a smokers home for years. They also reek of olives which is gross and weird.

Its bullshit that guys can just post and get away with crap like this. Doesn't help that I'm in Canada, and sending shit back is going to cost me like 10 bucks.

Well, besides the lack of a power-indicator LED. Which I could probably mod in, but my hamfisted RGB-bypass mod was extremely dodgy and I think it'd short and kill the console if I tried opening her up again.

So I just got a copy I ordered of Omega Boost for the PS1 today, and to my surprise the CD case was still in its original plastic wrapping. Would it be worth it make a little extra money by resellingl this thing in its current state? >Oh yeah m8 all works fine m8 playing it otha day m8
Guy wants 30 quid for it, pick it up, out of the mud it is lying in (no joke) top and bottom been pulled apart so a huge gap is in the middle. Top casing cracked, wet from the rain. Old fat model.
I reckon there was a less than 1% chance the power light would even come on.

Other crap:
1 guy wants 25 for a PSP with batt case missing, scratches on the front, wet from the rain
Same guy also wants 25 for a grimey pink DS, equally as scratched.

Hey UK-anon, just got back from the post office. EB and SMRPG are being shipped to you in a spare anti-static bag I had laying around, with a bit of bubble wrap between them to help prevent any new damages to the labels. That bag is inside of a padded envelope, so hopefully it should reach you in good shape. Sorry I couldn't get it to the post office in time yesterday, I hope the games reach you soon. Posting this here since I dunno if you check 4chan or your email sooner. I sent you an email with the customs form receipt number, but I'm not sure how useful that will be to you.

I'm glad to know the games I've held on to for over a decade are going to a good home, and you'll be glad to know your money is what's keeping me in college and on my way to a useful degree. Never thought I would sell em, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

So theres a wierd thing I've never seen (From my probably dozen or so looks at different SNES) and thats that this ones top shell has a lock on the power button that pushes into the cart. Was this just a minor redesign thing? Do I have the illusive NES 001?

I could salvage that bit if its any better, but the video quality on this one seemed kinda shit from the brief test I did. Kind of a shame, I was planning on retrobriting it and selling it to someone for cheap but if the top shell doesnt stay on then idk what to do.

I don't want to sound like an asshole but are you new at this? That's what all the first snes have. They removed the lock because kids were breaking it. Same reason newer snes game carts don't have a notch but instead that smooth groove. Again not trying to be an asshole just educating. Hard to convey that with text.

No idea if this pic is a 1chip just google image. All 1chips will have that second version of the shell. The second version has raised EJECT letters on the eject button instead of the white letters on the first version shell. You can google the other shell to see the white EJECT letters instead of raised letters as said.

Just before this hits post limit. I have another stupid hunt I'm on.

Does anyone have any video game kiosk or display demos they are looking to sell? If you do please email me. I'm not looking for any in particular so just throw me what you have. If anything it will be neat to see what people have.

Thanks! (email is above)

I've done 3 trades and each one has been perfect. I'd much rather deal here than on Ebay.

I believe there's only been a handful of bad deals and even fewer scams.

Too bad I was one of those people who got scammed...

How is it even possible to get scammed? Didn't you use Paypal commercial?

Sorry, should've elaborated on that.

The guy who scammed was: jake_lt@hotmail.com

Set up up a trade, everything went well, everything was pictured on both sides, I mailed my stuff out....then that was it.

Guy kept making excuses as to why he wasn't responding to emails.

Family problems, busy work week, broken laptop and then even went so far as to say there was a death in the family.

So yeah, be wary of a jake_lt@hotmail.com

We need something for that. Like you would ship your item to a trade center and it would sit there until both people's items arive, then they are both shipped to the people they are being traded too

And If the other person doesn't ship their item to the trade center before a certen time period, you can choose to either keep your Item at the center for future trades, or have your item shipped back to you

I would envision the possible scenario for trading through paypal.

Agree on an amount that is equal for both parties through paypal.

First person to send items receives the agreed amount through paypal. If the person doesn't send his items then you keep the money. Then do the same for the second person. You send the money to him for him to ship.

That way if something doesn't arrive you can reclaim the money through paypal and at least you have that.
