So decided to try out Blood after using this DOSBox config I found (which actually gave decent results) and I came across this oddity. I threw dynamite over to where the enemies get up, only managed to kill one while the other got up, ran around the area for a good minute not even noticing me and then stopped in place as shown in the pictures. Nothing I did would alert him so he just stood there, and ended up only taking one hit to take him down. Wish I was recording it. Anyone else have something like this happen in Blood?

i've done maps 1 to 7 so far (i'm not rushing ahead, i'm doing each map from a pistol start, first with saves to learn it, then trying to max - i like to savour..)

if it is a disappointment then it is only a very slight disappointment. the level ordering is a bit strange: it starts in a harbour then through some ancient blood temples then you find yourself in a cargo depot then back to ancient temples again.

map1 is a bit drawn out and low on ammunition.
map2 is a bit of a gimmick involving barrel destruction.
map4 goes on forever and is easy to get lost in.
map6 features a crate maze.
map7 while not a slaughterfest, has a high monster density and some fierce traps.

if nothing else it's a lot more varied than btsx_e1. if you're enjoying it, i suggest you continue and stop being influenced by what other people say. :)

Hey guys, I'm trying to find a Doom map that a friend showed me some time back, I think it's a well known one.

It's one of the largest maps I've seen created, it starts in a large outdoor area with two long raised platforms of enemies sniping you, I recall a few videos dealing with them by letting them kill eachother.

Ever since the buff it will painlock them and they die without shitting ghosts. Makes them much more tolerable.

Unfortunately the easiest way to kill them would be the pistol. It's not very strong.

The specials aren't too reliable if they aren't at eye level(Forward special wrecks them but you can't aim it, Spinslash doesn't hurt enough unless they're right next to you, back special makes them teleport), and they can dodge grenades with ease due to how they move.

I use back special to deal with the hordes of ghost skulls.
They are much more bearable now.

As you open that door and attempt to get out, you'll get teleported somewhere where you feel uneased. Look around and use both Invulnerability Spheres, once he's dead you're free to exit level.

Refueling base is not really hard as it have a Megasphere, and at two different rooms there's a Soulsphere and a Mega Armor pickup to pair with close to it. unloved is kind of like that, in that areas of the hub are inaccessible until you get the right key or flip the right switch. it's also a little non-linear, and the maps are new worlds with portals as entrances.

Unloved is still my all time favorite WAD. I loved listening to the playthrough/commentary the guy himself did of it too. There was a lot of thought put into the architecture.
