Dear /vr/, I'm a fairly young fellow so I haven't played many retro games, I was wondering if you could help me out by posting some great music from old games.

Me and my friends are looking for music to put into Project M (that's a mod for Super Smash Bros Brawl for those who don't know) so music relating to smash characters would preferable but anything works.

The first track sets the tone for the rest of that album, if you don't like that one, you won't like anything else on it. I'm amazed this came from Masaharu Iwata. It doesn't sound like his usual RPG music fare.

The game is filled with game music to begin with, why do you need to shit it up with old tracks from games you've never even bothered playing?

Considering PM has a Castlevania-themed stage that replaces Luigi's Mansion for some reason yet doesn't actually put in fitting music, Rondo of Blood has some good music. I'll just link you to a playlist to see for yourself. Illusionary Dance in particular sounds a bit overly dramatic for Smash, but it's more fitting for the stage than some of the more upbeat tracks

Unless something has CD-like quality or comes from a remake of a /vr/ game, or isn't well-made, I can't see it fitting in, which unfortunately would fuck over a lot of the roster and thus be hardly /vr/-worthy
