Any games like this, that aren't a huge buggy mess?

I want open world SciFi with a big ship and crew, any reccomendations /vr/?

If you want to see a real buggy mess, you need to get your hands on the original Take 2 release when they stamped a grossly incomplete alpha build to CD-ROM for a holiday release.

If you're really into Derek Smart micromanagement space sims, why not give the sequel a try?

I also heard good things about the Star Trek: Bridge Commander series if you're willing to hunt that down.

I did have this game on original relase... Pre-ordered it based on his usenet spam of how revolutionary it would be.

The fixed version is MUCH MUCH better, but still a bit crazy and crash-prone (especially on modern hardware)

I may have to take a look at Bridge Commander - I thouht it was more combat based than sandbox-y though
