If you look at the Japanese computer scene there were a shitload of adventures, a lot of traditional games with strip elements, a number of RPGs and all sorts of other genres.

the existence of porn games post-internet is mindboggling to me. like, full visual novels with porn scenes or w/e make sense, but seeing breakout/mahjong clones with titties is just weird and anachronistic

Samantha Fox Strip Poker on my Amstrad CPC.
Got it from a friend at school. It was a pirate copy of course (I never once bought any games as a kid, had no money, but sometimes got enough for blank floppy disks and the occasional magazine with type-ins...)
Anyway, as you can see from the screenshot, it leaves a lot to the imagination. The graphics were actually done in "high res" mode, so only two colors could be used (in my case green/black since I had green monochrome rather than color screen).
Anyway, although it looks bad now, back then the images actually seemed pretty decent digitalizations, enough for desperate late-night teenage fapping anyway!

Pachinko Sexy Reaction has some good looking animu females, and Bubble Bath Babes, Hot Slots, and whatever the last game was called all intrigue me greatly. I found about them around 2001-2 and was floored that there were NES games out there (licensed or not) with bare titties.

Played through one of those countless Galspanic copies on MAME with a friend.

The Gals Panic machine there was back in the 90s at the local arcade was pretty much in the open, but it had anime girls instead. There was another whose title I cannot remember where you had to paint the screen with a paint roll or a brush while shooting the enemy bubbles.

I used to load it in secrecy when nobody was around, cause.. so naughty!

Never saw any of this stuff in arcades/bars, but I discovered a bunch of Gals Panic, Pocket Gal, Zero-Zone, etc. randomly browsing through a MAME set.
While they were titillating to play when I had the opportunity, I don't think I ever hit the ESC button on that family PC as quickly as when I chanced upon that kind of content, with parents in the room.

I used to see ads for those in the PC mags from the time.

Only name I really remember is Seymore Butts.

I never played them, but thought about trying to get my parents to order one for me (by saying I wanted to order some games and picking one with an inconspicuous name along with normal games) but never did. Kinda wish I could find copies now though. Be neat to see how laughable they provably were.

Kaneko doesn't have a very large catalog. There's DJ Boy a neat brawler on rollerskates and I have plans to play B Rap Boys (the spiritual sequel) where you play on skateboards. They also had a hand in the Bonk arcade game which people seem to either not know about or don't like. I like it though.

They also did Air Buster/Aero Blasters which is a pretty solid game. While I never thought of it as the shooter to end all shooters, It was always enjoyable to play, and didn't have some grating feature to find serious fault with.

I had sexonix on my win98. The PC originally belonged to a friend of my dad's so it came with some games. Parents didn't really give a shit about it because they played it too.

I remember playing Ibiza babewatch at a friend's house. Basically, it's a european game where you're a paparazzo who goes around nude beaches in ibiza taking pictures of naked women and then sells them online for money. You then use to money for more effective camera equipement and stealth. The game techically has fucking in it, but it's censored with a hearth. Which is weird because the women and the occasional naked dude that appear aren't censored.

Naughty games from my childhood? Hard to say.

I used to see boxes of dirty vidya at computer fairs. I was too young at the time to be able to smuggle them home. I don't remember any of the name I saw either. Finding some of these today would probably be near all but impossible. There also used to be ads for these in the back of 90's era PC Gamer mags along with mail order hentai (you could get yourself an SVCD of La Blue Girl).

My dad let me play the Leisure Suit Larry games. They are so tame that he just didn't care, and neither did I. Amusing as they were, fap material they are not (at least to me).

It wasn't until I got access to newsgroups that I got full-on porn games. I got started with some nondescript strip poker games.
At the time (I was in high school/early college by now), English visual novels were just starting to dribble out. I started getting a taste of VNs. Snow Drop pissed me off with all of the dud endings. It wasn't until Divi Dead, Nocturnal Illusion, Eve: Burt Error that I got really hooked. They weren't just cheap jacking tools, they were real stories with some sexi time thrown in.

I remember finding my dad's copy of Leather Godesses of Phobos. Text only, but I boner'd so hard.

My old man had a copy of that for Apple II (ironically, that was like the only non-pirated game we had), but I couldn't figure out how to get very far in it. Didn't know until recently but they had a text+graphics adventure adaptation of Softporn for PC-88 in Japan that was separate from LSL, which was called "Las Vegas".

The big "taboo" game for me when I was a kid was Knights of Xentar - it's really vanilla, even with the "NR-18 mode" unlocked, but before the Internet became a big thing you took what you could get. Surprisingly, it's a really solid RPG too, go figure.

My impression was that the law enforcement in Japan stepped up on games and anime around the time and therefore elf had to add further censorship to oblige existing laws. The FM Towns and X68000 ports have the same censorship.
Dragon Knight was a relatively tame series. 1 had some light bondage, limited nudity and no sex. Only in 4 did they get more extreme with loli, shota and rape. I really need to make a thread about the series at some point.
