Back in the days, I remember some SUPER CHAR who was posted on some geocities domain, If i recall correctly.

It was a king monkey-thing i believe, with the best AI ever, +100 special moves, smooth movements and some shit.

I never downloaded it because the link of the Geocities was broken, but I remember the background of that page was green.

Did somebody download that char? What is his name?

I'm doing AI for characters without it, already finished Ash, Duolon, Double-A, Eiji, Mr. Karate, Syo, Kensuo, and KFM. Mediocre level so far but better than nothing, and its varying qualities give the Arcade mode some escalation sense.
I based most of them on Robert_C_Arrange's AI which is the best AI I've watched.

I saw this minotaur raping Chun Li repeatedly, and then this big pink computer was holding girls down and putting a needle into their cooter, and there was an X-ray screen showing the needle sucking up all of her pee and then forcing it back into her bladder.

Left a REALLY bad taste in my mouth, but hey, if that's your thing, who am I to judge?

>> No.1797473

>>1796716
Eh, can't recommend character packs. The thing is, the characters are varying degrees of complete/polished, and you're likely to get a bunch of old, unfinished versions if you download packs. It's kind of a pain to set up, but you're better off trying to find the most recent versions of characters you want. I found a Jubille and Poison Ivy that had been uploaded just last month that had been unfinished and useless for years.

Also, the MUGEN community tends to be really selfish about their creations, and I think a lot of good characters would have to be left out because their creators would flip dick if anyone made them available outside of the author's release thread.

I got the ScruffyDragon Marvel vs. DC game as a starter and just copied the asset folders and character select file into a blank MUGEN install, and then I added characters as I found them. I have a hundred now.

It's okay, but the real fun in MUGEN is playing with your own personal roster, even if it's a broken mess. There's a pretty cool Marvel vs. Capcom build, I believe made by Infinity Mugen Team, but the assholes have all the assets compiled into the .exe so you can't use the characters and stages in your own roster. Another reason just to build your own.

If anyone wants to poke around with content creation/editing, you can get Fighter Factory here:

http://www.virtualltek.com/lang/en_us

I personally use Fighter Factory Classic because Ultimate won't start on my PC, but it may have better features if you can get it running. Here are a couple starter guides:

>characters

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:UoVPmUhU3SAJ:mugenguild.com/forum/topics/complete-stage-creation-tutorial-104470.0.html+&cd=4&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us
(Google cache version since I'm getting a 404, even though I was just on that page like two days ago.)

A good starting point to learn some basics would be to make a character select portrait for a character and replace the original with it.

Eh, I don't know the histories and politics of the mugen community, but I've gotten a lot of quality stuff from IMT, and I think Invisible Woman is just fine if she didn't become untouchable. She's got some decent spritework with no missing animations, she's got all her regular moves, 4 specials, and 4 hypers. That's more than I can say for a lot of Mugen characters. I just like play fighting with my super heroes.

Thanks for looking her over, anyway.

>> No.1798074

>>1798065
This character has many issues, ranging from poorly drawn to poorly programmed to just being a boring character to play as. That said, if I could find the issue for her invulnerability not working, I could fix it. She has one super move where she has a force field and she's invulnerable, perhaps that's the culprit?

>> No.1798114

MUGEN was kinda fun back in the day but the community sucked FUCKING DICK HOLY SHIT. You guys think /v/ is bad, oh boy. Most MUGEN contributors were on high horses, thinking because they created the 1209th variant of super dragon dildo edition Ryu they were special.

If it wasn't for MUGEN warehouses, I would've never have got to enjoy the game the way I wanted. Not everyone wanted a 5000 slot roster filled with half Akuma, half some shitty Melty Blood character. If you looked for other characters, you were met with a "fuck off beggar" and shit like "make your own, noob".

I hope things are kinda different now, but I'm not going to risk getting back into it.

>> No.1798173

>>1798074
Well, the problem is that she STAYS invulnerable until the end of the match. The way it always seems to happen is that when someone does her qcb+k (normal special), her sprite disappears, and she can't be hit after that; even if the player does the move again to make her visible manually, she just can't be hit until the next round. We've even stopped the fight to point it out, and no matter how long the other player wails on her while she stands there, she's completely untouchable. I suppose it's possible that in the chaos of the fight I'm never noticing exactly when it happens, but it always seems like it's the qcb+k, and she definitely doesn't have the big shield bubble over her when this happens.

>> No.1798186

>>1798173
But I'm trying to reproduce this on my own right now, and no matter how many different ways I try it, the qcb+k doesn't make her invincible, and the invincibility super wears off after a few seconds.

Is it the D-pad? Try it with the "ANALOG" light turned off.

Failing that, there are programs like Xpadder or JoytoKey that you can use to map keys to the controller.

Yes, the D-Pad, but unfortunately there isn't an ANALOG button, is a Street Fighter 15th anniversary gamepad, and mugen sees the D-Pad both as buttons and POV D-Pad, so when i want to map it it goes nuts.

I'll try Xpadder later. Thanks :)

There's little else that can be done from inside Mugen, the idea is writing a snippet and using the character itself as an injector.

I'm actually pretty deep into this mess, my method consists of cracking the Windows kernel so other nukes can't execute their code and/or shutdown mine.

I've considered bricking the UEFI once but it'd be a tad too much.
