Video games about musicians thread?
Video games about musicians thread

Iceman had their own video game. They were this synth pop band from the '90s that used to be big but then the vocalist left for a solo gig, and he was never heard from again. They had cool songs. Good stuff if you enjoy synth pop

TM Network also had their own video game. They were this synth pop band from the '80s. I mostly know them as that band that performed the only ending song in the original City Hunter anime. But they also had did the ending song of the first Vampire Hunter D movie but all the DVD versions outside of Japan replaced their song with an instrumental due to rights

Last but not really least. X Japan had their own Saturn game. I never got to play it or see it, but some guy wanted to translate that back in the early days of the rom hacking scene, then was never heard from. I'm not a fan of them as much as Iceman and TM Network

Trivia time:

The Journey arcade game originally came with a digital camera in the marquee, and when you got the high score, it would take a picture of your face and put it next to your name in the high score list.

It lasted only until some guy got the high score, pulled up a chair, and dropped his pants for the picture. All subsequent machines were released without the camera.

Something Awful did a review ages ago and it was one of the very few games that didn't get a minus rating by them - that alone should tell you something.

No really, it's actually a genuinely good game with nice, creepy, sometimes American McGee's Alice-like atmosphere, tons of enemies (IIRC your killcount is somewhere around 6000 by the end of the game on normal) well balanced weapons including melee weapons that AREN'T shit, a delicious gibbing system that allows you to shoot off limbs without the enemy dying, and actually encurages you to mutilate the corpses of your enemies, etc.
It's also fairly long with four different characters, each having three different worlds that again have three decently sized levels each, a final circus and boss level for each of the characters and the final nightmare world and final boss stages.
The KISS content is also pretty subtle for most of the time due to the game being based on the comics instead of the band itself.
Hell, the name KISS doesn't even appear anywhere outside of the title screen and the extro and the names of the band members only appear as train station names.

However it has one major problem: it doesn't work properly anymore on modern systems.

I tend to agree with you. Britney at 19 was the peak of the human woman. We will never witness this again, and she fell so hard.

I don't get this song. The lyrics make it seem like they're singing to criminal women that are running away from their past or some shit. I've always gotten this vibe from it. Just me?

>I don't care
>who you are
>where you're from
>don't care what you did
>as long as you love me

wtf?

Much more fun the Terminator 2 machine next to it. It was so fucking tall I had to stand on a chair to play it.

Well, they didn't write the songs. The songs are written by some fat, middle-aged jew who writes songs that turn teenage girls into dripping pussies that hemorrhage cash.

I interpreted it as

>I don't care
>who you are (as in socio-economic standing? race? idk)
>who you've been with
>who you've cheated on
>as long as you love me

which is a huge red flag if you're in love with a girl who's been known to cheat but I love the song anyway

>which is a huge red flag
For guys, yes. For teenage girls, not so much. It's just escapism where you get this slightly-but-not-creepily-older hot AND cute boy who doesn't pressure you and wants you for who you are.

>Don't care who you are
>Where you're from
>What the fuck you said
>About me, you little bitch
