THPS2X is the definitive version..... I'd still rather play the PSX version due to the superior controller.

One thing I liked about the game was the fact that the competitions were actually pretty hard to win.
Also, the soundtrack was even better than THPS2.

Stephen Hawking Pro Wheelchair 2 on Dreamcast is more fun.

>> No.1781379

is there any difference between the PC version and the PS1 version other than graphics?

I like the PS1 version way more I don't know why. PC feels weird.

>> No.1781390

Hey guys, I never played these but it's famous enough to warrant a spot in my collection.

I have a copy of THPS 1 for N64, is this version worth playing or was the PSX the actual popular one? Please advise, I don't want to bother casing an inferior port

>> No.1782660

>>1781390
PSX version was more popular due to the system being more popular in general.

People like the PS1 version because of the controls or the DC version because of INSANE GRAFIX. I haven't played the N64 version but I'm gonna assume it was somewhere between the two. It's all a matter of opinion though.

>> No.1782667

>>1781390
n64 version is clunky and has a butchered soundtrack, dont bother

get psx or dc

for every other thps game, the pc version is the definitive one, imo

I would argue the definitive version of THPS2 is @X on the Xbox since it has ALL of the levels from THPS1 and 2 (with career modes for both), plus bonus levels.

Only problem is that the THPS1 career is really easy with the THPS2 game engine.

Does the PC version of THPS2 still crash after the end credits on Windows 7? I know it happened on Vista.

>> No.1785760

>>1785754
it happens on win XP SP3 also
or maybe it's triggered by newer version of directx
or multicore/thread CPU

nobody knows

>> No.1785787

>>1785760
>or multicore/thread CPU
>nobody knows
you can set the process affinity to only 1 core and see if it still happens

if it does work, you can use the MS-ACT to make a permanent one-core-only fix without having to manually set it every time
