A new game would need a rotate-able camera for sure: this would allow for more complex puzzles with less frustration coming from the perspective itself. On top of this, modern Ys-like combat would be great.

FEDA: The Emblem of Justice. It's the far better SupFam version of Shining Force that never got localized. Been fan-translated for a while though.

Excellent stuff, although some of the characters are furries. I guess some people can't take that. Also much more difficult than Shining Force.

FEDA's difficulty is a joke no matter which alignment you take.

You could even bounce back and forth from fedain to genocide a couple times in one run, lose every alignment-based character, and it's still a cake walk. The best characters (ie Brian, Ain, Chris, Shishimaru, Jeda, Tobikage) are neutral and stay on your team no matter what.

Half the mission objectives are simply "kill all the enemies" anyway, and most of the other half aren't exactly difficult.
>kill one unit that has really high move and will approach you before anyone else if you idle on your starting position
>idle for x turns without killing every enemy on the field; be careful, they might 4hko your healer if they roll a critical
>completely ignore the enemies and send your flier to a specific tile across the field

Shining Force is easy because the AI is brain-dead and won't attack with a unit that hasn't been attacked itself, and also because the axe guys are broken as hell. Before you figure these things out, though, it can be touch and go since the enemies have pretty substantial damage output and I swear that evasion roll is fixed against the player .

With FEDA, there's not much to figure out. You play it and it's broken. Your two lord characters are unkillable and unhittable, respectively. Every other unit is at least adequate, except the casters who don't get Barrier and the sword-wielding furry on the chaos side with glitched stat sheet.
