Does Mitsubishi make good CRTs? And by good I mean Trinatron level. Someone is giving this away for free on my craigslist and I was wondering if it was worth the pickup.

I know their PC CRT monitors are awesome. Not sure about their consumer CRTs.

I put up my sony trinitron for free in the paper and some guy came to pick it up. Fucker was big and didn't fit in his car and i told him like 10x, so as we're trying to jam it in he fucking drops it, it smashes and he just leaves. I was pretty pissed because i loved that tv and it could have gone to someone who appreciated it.

They made very highly regarded TVs, though I never owned one.

Sony's patent on aperture grille tubes didn't expire until the mid-'90s, and Mitsubishi's version was called Diamondtron. However, I don't remember ever seeing Diamondtron being used on their TVs, just monitors.

Did he even try to apologize at all?

He should have taken responsibility for breaking it and taken it to be recycled.
