In Kirby 3 at the end if the level, there's always a character looking disappointed in me. What do I need to do in the level to make them happy?

Kirby thread?

You have to fulfill an objective in each level. Here's a guide to help you.

It's different for each level. You should be able to figure them on your own. If you see a sad flower at the end and you stepped on a bunch of identical flowers that level...

I just started playing Dreamland 3, I always forget that they made another one for the SNES that wasn't Superstar.

I love Superstar, but, so far Dreamland 3 has great charm, a neat art style, animal buddies and some pretty nuanced power-ups. Am I in for a fun ride /vr/?

Also how much fucking shit did they reference from this in Crystal Shards? I'm only two levels in and there's dozens of similarities, from music to SFX to enemy types and designs. Blowing my mind.

hell yeah nigga. it truly is, in the total meaning of the word, FUN. and sad ;_;

but basically what >>1685042 said. You'll notice a pattern after the first world. iirc there's always a "find a girl/boyfriend", "do something to this plant", "find item x"

Nah bro I feel that DL2 was tougher. If only because you needed certain companions with power combinations and it was easy as hell to lose either.

yeah but that's all you had to do.

Unlike DL3 where every clear has a completely different condition, many of which you would have no idea how to do it without a guide.

Getting all the heart stars really wasn't all that difficult. Even the grueling feather duster and flower stage can be cheesed as Coo instead of Rick, and I can't remember anything else giving me trouble.

But the minigames you have to beat for the last couple points are brutal. I think DL2's Boss Rush is probably the hardest standard Kirby gameplay in the series, but I still haven't beaten DL3's Jumping.

There were two teams working on Kirby games in the 90s. Sakurai's team made Kirby's Adventure, Super Star and some others while the B team made Dreamland 2, 3 and 64, hence why those all feel similar to each other.

B team has a really, for lack of a better word, lore-filled world kind of feel. Each environment in Dreamland/Shards had a real personality and story to it, you know?

Adventure and Superstar have great panache and flash. Beautiful spritework and pretty engaging gameplay, too.

Does anyone know why this was never released in pal?

Wasn't DL3 one of the last SNES releases? There might not have been enough interest in them.
