What does /vr/ think about this controller? I'm considering buying one.

Nes30 for those wondering

Looks pretty cool, I'd get one but the fact that they ship from China is a concern.

NES controller is great if you like sharp corners digging into your hands. Back in the day the SNES controller was a godsend.

>> No.1672004

looks beautiful, but I have to admit that I hated the NES controller. there is a reason why every controller since then has that same boomerang shape.

hell, even the NES Advance controller had a boomerang shape

Not OP, but I've actually never had this problem. My hands are gigantic though, I liked the original Xbox controller.

>angles on Dpad digging into thumbs
>angles on controller digging into fingers and palm
>controller sized for a child, not the adults who have the nostalgia and loot to buy this

the more I think about this, the more I think its a terrible, lazy idea. If you are going to rip off a controller, do the SNES, or the Saturn.

what is that plastic frame, around the bottom, for?

While I agree that the SNES controller is better, you shouldn't be holding the corners so tightly that they dig into your hands. The controller is freaking tiny.

It's a stand for your bluetooth device of choice.
You place your phone/tablet in one of the notches and it stands at a 45 degree angle. People claim that it worked really well on the previous version (pic related)

Speaking of the previous version, I have heard some not-so-good things about the button quality and durability of the controller.
FC30 (Famicom 30th anniversary).
This is supposed to be an upgrade, but I'd wait for a review first.

Yeah, I wish I could expect more from things that ship out of Hong Kong.

Seriously, it was only bearable for me because I didn't know any better. Once the SNES came out, I hated the NES controller. I'm honestly surprised they never redesigned the controller to something not so darn sharp.

In the meantime, play Track&Field II hammer throw to truly find out how shitty the dpad is.

This thing supposedly gets released on the 11th. I've been unable to find a decent gamepad for Android, and I'm not confident in my ability to mod a SNES controller.

I hate the design of the NES controller because ti is so sharp and has too many corners. This just adds corners. Do it in a Famicom style and we will talk.

Just get one of these and use a real SNES controller. The quality on these remakes, lookalikes, and remixes are all over the damn place. I use my SNES controller for NES, SNES, Genesis, most handhelds, and some Steam games that don't need more buttons than what the SNES controller provides.

Do have an adapter for N64 as well. Nothing else comes close to feeling right. Fucking N64 and your weird ass controller. At least I can use a dualshock for gamecube.
