So here's a kickstarter project for a re-make of Chrono Trigger, seems legit. The guy has worked for square! (As MMO Beta tester)

Now correct me if I'm wrong though, but would this fall under profitting off of Square's license?

The person is already deluded enough to think that his shitty RPG Maker project without a word of original code is something people would support monetarily and be hyped for while there are probably hundreds of CT fangames already going around, free and much better than his. I wouldn't put it past him to think that $700 is enough to pay a crew of professional developers, artists and to purchase the license.
