Not him, but U8 is more mediocre than objectively terrible. It gets horrible reviews because it was far below the quality expected of an Ultima game, but if, hypothetically, it was released as a standalone game by some nobody studio, it would probably have been hailed as a pretty boring, clunky, action-RPG thing and quickly forgotten.
