I just sold off like 30 snes and n64 games I never play. All junk titles and shovelware. Got my Paypal balance around $110 and now I'm going to wait for a nice copy to pop up BIN. I watch the new listings for PSX and PS2 rpgs as they come up. I almost blew a bunch of that money when a Valkryrie Profile popped up for $60 BIN, but I hesitated for 30 seconds and it was gone. I think once I get my copy of Suikoden II and finish playing it I'll just sell it for $40 or so in the BST thread so someone else can enjoy it.

Started Suikoden 1 yesterday, RIP Oddessa. Now I have an elf, a castle, and a shitload of characters to recruit. Cool game, but character balance is very odd. Can't wait for 2, which is apparently even better.

Yeah, I notice that there are even a few joke characters (bath dude being playable). It feels odd having so many characters and not much to do with them. Is it this one or the second with Multi party events/battles? Leveling curve promotes switching up though, so I might do so with more party freedom.

All I know is that I need to use Pahn or else I won't stand a chance at getting all 108 stars.

Ah my favorite dead series. Were it only to receive a sequel, I'd finally be able to see Harmonia in a main game instead of the weird VN side stories, or maybe that whole continent we haven't seen yet

The cooking battle was boss, shame there wasn't a sidequest with as involved of a storyline as it in later games lol.

Yeah, you're right. It's just a solid JRPG that wasn't by square and therefore didn't print as many copies. That qualifies as "shunned and barely acknowledged" for a bunch of people.

I've been hearing people say that Suikoden 2 is great for over a decade though, calling it underrated is absurd.
