I never found the Gradius shields that useful

They're shield projectiles that block other projectile. On paper it seemed like a good idea but since using them seems a bit unwieldy they just a neat after thought.

They worked alot better in Harmony of Dissonance, because they not only blocked projectiles, but they could also damage enemies.

What was up with how that would randomly refill your mp gauge after using the shield rod?

Found some other neat weapons, but no. I stuck with the Muramasa.

I took to punchan or the short knives on subsequent playthroughs. Luck code for minimum life/damage/MP and max difficulty when possible.
