Batman & Robin on SNES. I still hate myself for selling it. I have no idea why I did, I loved that game.

Batman by Sunsoft on NES is probably my favourite Batman game; but it's far from the one respecting the source material and for that there is Batman Returns indeed.

Now, believe me or not, but there is at least NINE different Batman Returns games. The one everything thinks of is the SNES one, but both the NES and Master System ones are good really. The NES one is a single player beat em up (which gets suddenly hard on stage 3) which is quite underknown, everybody knows about Sunsoft's Batman and of Batman Return Of The Joker, but nobody ever talks about the NES Returns while if you ask me it's a better game than Return Of The Joker.

The SMS and GG versions of Batman Returns are quite good. Similar looking and similar gameplay but each have their subtle differences.

But my Favorite is Batman Forever on the MegaDrive

I don't even remember, but it wasn't that hard or long anyway so passwords shouldn't have been an issue. I played the hell out of that game, so I pretty much learned every level inside and out.

That game was fucking great, OP. My friend owned it and I borrowed it from him once for ages. I couldn't beat that motherfucker as a kid.

About three years I decided to download it. I kicked the whole game's ass on just my second try (no save states or anything like that used, of course). It's amazing how much your power level increases as you age.

I knew Batman and Robin on the SNES was a totally different game from the Genesis one but I had no clue Returns was as well. The SNES one even looks fun to play. Though I really like the backgrounds the levels had in the Genesis one.

I think this was around that same time when there was some clause where if a game appeared on both Genesis and SNES, they had to both be completely different, not unlike TMNT tournament.

I'm a bit rusty on the actual clause.

Batman Returns (SNES) is a superb beat'em up.

The Adventures of Batman & Robin (Genesis) is excellent, but very difficult. The SNES game is also quite good from what I've heard.

Batman (NES) is a classic.

Anyway, my favorite is easily Batman Returns (SNES). I'm a huge beat'em up nut that usually sticks with arcade games when it comes to the beat'em up genre, but I get the urge to play Batman Returns every once in a while. Fantastic music and graphics, tight controls, and a solid combat mechanics. I don't like the side-scrolling levels, but they're tolerable.

I loved how you could use the environment to hurt people in that game. Like you could grab the clowns and smash them into those windows for instance.

Batman Returns on the SNES may be my most played but it's a tie between that and NES Batman. I've mastered both games pretty much, awhile back I beat NES Batman without dying (a lot of easy ways to beat bosses once you figure it out... Joker actually just needs you to be spaced correctly)
>>1554925
That game gave me weird feels. The gameplay was pretty mediocre but what would get to you is the atmosphere. The world felt pretty dark and decrepit with a hint of gothic.

>> No.1571537

It's certainly not the best one, but the Batman game on Game Boy is pretty good, with good music.

Hey, /vr/ what's your opinion about batman gotham racer and batman beyond (psx/n64/gbc)?

>> No.1572319

Batman and Robin on SNES is my favorite (recently tried the genesis version, game is fun tho hard as fuck, but these techno musics are totally out of place and ruined it for me), but the original nes game is the one that makes me feel the most nostalgic, fucking great musics.
Also the first genesis one has my favorite soundtrack on the system, and is pretty solid

My favorite Batman games are Batman on the NES and The Adventures of Batman and Robin on the Sega Genesis.

Both fantastic in almost every regard, especially soundtrack and challenge.

Returns on the SNES was also good, but it just falls short of being legendary. Fun, solid beat 'em up though.

>> No.1574787

The Adventures of Batman and Robin on the Sega Genesis for sure. Never thought much of it as a kid, used to play co-op with my cousin all the time. Bought it a while ago since it was cheap on ebay and I was not ready for what was about to happen.

This shit was hard as fuck, a lot harder than I remember. I was also surprised by how good the soundtrack is, they really knew how to get a good sound out of the hardware which I think is always a negative point on the genesis.
Artstyle is really good as well, mostly because im a fan of the series that was on at the time.
