HOW DO I GET PAST THIS FUCKING WALL!?

So, OP, did you make it past the wall or not?

>> No.1503775

You don't. The wall decides who shall pass and when, and obviously it has not yet deemed you worthy. Attempt again later.

>> No.1503823

I always hear about this method.

>Wait for the top left pillar of the first wall to move three times. Not in a row, just in general.
>After that, haul ass and run past both walls without stopping

OP, are you okay? Post if you're okay.

I believe this is correct. That wall has fucked me numerous times. But sometimes, you can just hold right and sail on by.

Very, very good. Great skill system, good challenge, good variety, just long enough for a decent price. Play it.

Though I hesitate to call it better than Double Dragon 2. DD2 is just exceptional.

Actually, make that ten years. The beat 'em up genre is woefully dead.

DD: Neon put some juice in it though. It has fucking dodge-counters.

Pretty good.

The music is probably the best part of the game, though.

>> No.1506371

>>1506368

My method is to wait for the very top block of the wall to move twice. Not necessarily in a row, just twice. After that, run like hell.

60% of the time, you can go without getting hit. Even if you do get hit, it's not that hard to survive long enough to regain your health. Just watch out for that one fucking guy with the knife up ahead after the wall.

Honestly, the wall is the hardest thing in the whole game. Final boss is intense.

You can do it, anon.

I just beat Double Dragon a few hours ago for the first time. That final stretch makes my dick rock-hard.

Pretty disappointing. I much rather they had done a straight revival like the GBA version from ten years ago instead of going for a goofy 80s pastiche.

DD2 on the arcade was just an improved version of DD1 with a harder difficulty. The bosses were actually unique to each stage rather than just head swaps of other characters.

I'm such a fan of the NES version of DD2 that I own the NES version 3 times : I tracked down 2 more CIB copies of the game just to get the poster, one for me, and one which I sent to my online co-op game playing buddy, we both mastered DD2 to the point where beating the game without losing a single life while doing ONLY knee attacks and sending each enemies to each other with it was a habit. A timed, step by step, habit of rocking all the way through.

Pic related, the poster

It's also much more balanced, since DD1 can be cleared using only the elbow strike.

>> No.1508091

>>1508075
2 is my favorite, but calling it balanced is a joke. It's by far the easiest DD, thanks to the hyperknee. Still so much fun, especially coop, but you only need the hyperknee to crush everything, and it's such an easy move to do.

My problem with the DD games is that they all have a point where they decide to become platformers. Why? It's the ultimate bait-and-switch.

That's nice, anon, but I'm talking about the ARCADE version. The NES versions are too different from their arcade counterparts.

Except for all those bad guys in the later levels that just duck it all the time.

Now if we were talking about the flying hurricane kick, THAT'S the only move you really need.
