I doubt it. Most people I know (not with retro stuff, just things in general) don't even bother to try and see if they can get a deal. They just tend to get whatever is shoved in front of their face more (which, unsurprisingly, tends to be the most expensive). That's part of why I really think this is just a huge bubble: because most people buying hardly know anything about it.

The pic of the discs was mine. That Savers also had two of these disc wallets hanging on the housewares rack and on a nearby shelf was a Gamecube (with Gameboy player ... didn't see its disc anywhere)

Someone must've donated their sysrtem, then they emptied out the wallets to sell the games individually.

PAL release of Mortal Kombat Trilogy for Saturn is worth 200 euro based on condition (it can go higher). It got a very low print run, and it is one of the most rare PAL Saturn titles.

Too bad that it's a shit port that has more loading times than actual gameplay.

I have no idea, I live in Renton so I hardly ever make it out to Bremerton when I'm less than 20 minutes away from a Pink Gorilla at any given time. But if craigslist is anything to go by (literally like 90% of the Seattle/Tacoma area vidya ads are people advertising their shops), there have been a fair amount of retro game shops springing up in western Washington. It makes me wonder how many will stay around longer than a year.

Yeah I can't imagine them having any sort of staying power when they try to sell things at ridiculous markups. It's like they think the people coming into their shops don't know any better. Yes, let's hold on to these empty cases in case that odd, OCD-addled game collector wanders in and haggles them down to 50 cents because they're "missing the game."

I too think it sucks that these cases are being tossed, but the store's gotta keep shit moving and can't keep around everything that might have some remote use to a few individuals.
